I thought Dino was supposed to be Italian...

    This has been bothering me for a while. It was said prior to the movie's release that Dino/Mirage would have an Italian accent, since Ferrarri is Italian. But in his first line, he said:
    "On the ground, por favor, and stay there!"

    Isn't por favor Spanish for 'please'?

    Unless it means something in Italian too and I don't know it...But when I type that (por favor) into Google translate [from Italian to English] it didn't translate.

    Unless he wasn't even saying por favor to begin with, in which case I will feel kinda silly for making this thread and typing all this.

    It was per favore I think. It's Italian.

    Mirage said the italian version,which is Por favore,it means the same thing,though

    Spanish and Italian are a bit similar, but the accents are different.

    per favore / por favor - Spanish, Italian and French are all Romantic languages, meaning they all grew out of Latin, and thus there are a lot of things that sound alike. Like gratzie / gracias.

    Por favor is also the correct form in Portuguese.
