The crime is heinous. You've not seen the original Die Hard? You really are missing out!

This film introduced half of the action movie staples that we enjoy today. Oh, and it's quite nicely written. And you can tell what's happening in the fight scenes.

Are you listening Mr Bay? Didn't think so...

    Don't compare it to 4.0 though.  I honestly think you'll love it.

I'm not going to see it. It just looks lame and un-interesting. Where's the "wow" factor?

Also, I don't understand why it seems half of all Transformers fans seem to be blind? As you'd have to be if you honestly cannot keep track with the fight scenes.

Are you yippi-ki-yayying serious? The guy has to fight off around 20 terrorists, deal with hostages and a crappy police force, without shoes on(that plays a role later on). The action in Transformers is nowhere as close as Die Hard(1 at least)

It's just that everything is moving, it's hard to see anything going on. I can see it better on a small screen, but on a huge screen you sorta have to rely on peripheral vision to see everything. I could tell that BB was shooting at Brawl, but shit was flying left and right it made my eyes hurt

The only time I truely thought that it was almost to fast to see was when Megs and Prime flew through the building, I didn't notice that Megs had TF'ed until he started pounding on prime. (Though, I think that was the point of haveing them fly through the building in the first place)

I like the messy shots, they feel more real and less "set up" like other action movies fight scenes. And they're not hard to follow. (especialy with characters like BB whos bright yellow in it, or Ratchet who's green, easy to tell who's who)

Transformers is no way the best movie ever, but it's certainly the most entertaining action movie in a long, long time. Which makes it a winner.

By 'wow' factor I assume you mean a vast wave of quite possibly irrelevant special effects, yes?

If a hostage situation, a police assault with armoured vehicles (and choppers), an exploding skyscraper, one of the best bad guys ever and the creation of one of cinemas most iconic action heroes is 'lame and un-interesting' then I think we're done here.

Not enough shiny coloured robots perhaps?

Jeez. There's no pleasing some folk...I and was trying to be nice.

I wouldn't say it ruined the other movies, but at this point in time I can't put anything else in the DVD player other than TF. I am begining to become afraid that I will get sick of it. Every time I see this movie I like it more! Unfortunatly there's no way to be seen as an intelligent individual if you think this is the best film ever made. I actually made that statement in my screenwriting course and I was hit with a Tomato.

And one more thing Die Hard kicks ass!(I haven't yet seen the fourth one)

A tomato seems a little harsh. Students come armed to your class?

However if you're attending a screenwriters course and you're trying to pass of TF as the best movie ever written then...well...you will be in for a LOT of trouble!:D

I know I'm kidding, we were supposed to say our favorite movie so I really didn't proclaim it as the greatest film ever written, if I had done that I would've been hit with a brick!

The movie is flawed, my love for Transformers covers these flaws up where others look right at them. I was trying to convince someone to rent it and another guy came in and said, "Dude one robot pisses on a guy" needless to say after that I lost the sale!

Transformers was definitely a good action flick for me. It felt like something you don't see often these days, tho' i can't quite pinpoint why yet, maybe it's just the fact that there are fighting robots, i dunno. But i do know that i very much enjoyed the experience of watching TFs in a live-action movie! So i say thank you Mr. Bay for delivering a grand movie about our beloved Cybertronian heroes!

For some unknown reason, I found myself watching a lot more action movies than before after watching Transformers and ironically most of them are Michael Bay's films. Hmm..

i can't get enough of this movie.

I like Michael Bay movies in general and I tend to watch them more than once in the theaters just because of the way its just no other director can replicate his style of fast paced, testosterone fueled action.

Transformers and 300 is my favorites of this year

Transformers is great. I actually like it more now because each time I watch it I see new things.

Real world action I'll take Casino Royale thank you. That movie made even a basic poker game intense. And no other movie had a better on-foot chase scene.

Action scene of the year for me. Felt like what you were watching had real jeopardy. Now that's action directing for ya!

I've been watching Transformers almost as often as I would watch Top Gun or Black Hawk Down (my 2 favorite movies). I don't think that Transformers has spoiled my views on action movies because I am still being blown away by Clint Eastwood. Transformers is still a one of a kind action movie to me, I haven't seen a giant robot movie like this one. Robojocks is cool, but TF is better :)

I've seen worse action films than Transformers, and I've seen better.
I've seen worse SciFi films than Tranformers, and I've seen better.

It's not a bad film, I like it, but it's nowhere near being the greatest accomplishment in film-making ever.

the special effects did raise the bar for the industry, and that's the one area where the film does excel.

Again, I ain't bashing the film, I like it fine. I just don't think it's the best film ever.

Nah. The CGI is phenominal and it has a pretty decent musical score, thats pretty much the only thing the movie's got going for it. I watched all three Jurassic Park movies last week while I was sick and while the digital effects are just slightly worse, at least the camera is in focus with the Dinosaurs 100% of the time. But I digress since we're talking about the MOVIE not Bay's lack of directing ability beyond making things explode.
