...has officially ruined all other action movies for me. I don't think I'll be able to watch any other action film and go "wow" ever again.

Ya know, until Transformers 2 comes out :D

    Anyone else feel this way?

Nope :D . If anything, it's doing the exact opposite for me, by making me want to watch more action movies than I used to.

    'Fraid not.

Apologies to those that are in love with it, but I thought the whole shebang was sadly lacking. Sits in the 'distinctly-average-action-movie' pile for me...

Nah, I wanna watch Die Hard again. I praise the complexity of the character models, but too much shit flying around everywhere, so much it's hard to focus, is a big no-no

I actually found watching it on a smaller (a.k.a. normal sized tv) screen made it easier to catch all of the things that I had to really look for on the big screen, and therefore even more enjoyable.

    yes and no.
i was watching the opening scene form Episode 3 last week. and needless to say, i wasn't nearly as impressed as i was the first time i saw it. i compare everything to TF now, but i still enjoy other action flicks.

It isn't the best action movie but, definitely my favorite action movie.

Actually, the only effect certain action movie have had on me are untolerance for the mundane. Like, now, unless it has something fantasy/sci-fi/otherworldly/superhero/over-the-top-martial-arts whatever I just don't get that interested.

Movies like the Bourne series are just so ho-hum now. The only thing that can really make me want to watch a normal-world action movie is if the characters are appealing in a humorous way, such as John Mclaine.

    I agree.

These movies are still good and all, but there is just no "wow factor" in it for me anymore.

I also think listening to the commentary and watching all of the extras is making me love Transformers more and more - those just show how much love and hard work was actually put into this movie. Some people claim that Michael Bay hates the fans, but I think it's the exact opposite.

Um...no, It hasn't! Transformers just tops my favorite action movie, followed by The 300.

I didn't watch it for the action, I watched it for the robots! The action was like a bonus.

    The movie was very entertaining.

And also Die-hard sucks and 300 wasn't as good as I thought it would be but still worth watching.

I honestly didn't like it. It just seemed too... seen-it-already.

The newest one. I haven't seen any other Die-hards, but if the one I saw is any indication, I won't be any time soon.
