Just woke up today, achy, sick, runny nose etc. many of the symptoms of Swine flu. I have no fever though. I have had the regular flu before atleast 2-3 times, feels the same to me. I also have gotten a regular flu shot before. I'm drinking my own body weight in orange juice :lol  hopefully that will help.
Usually the last time I had the flu it wore off in less than two days, I was back on my feet. Honestly I can barely walk and feel very light-headed.

Some kids in my school (Maybe 5) have confirmed cases, I'm hoping it will blow over. Any of you guys here feeling sick too?

No, but my whole town seems to have the H1N1. My kids have the regular seasonal flu shot so at least they are protected against that. Stay in bed and away from the cold air to avoid getting a secondary infection.

This was my original response, till I remembered Boardwise told us to play nice with this kid.

I'm hoping it's just a sinus-infection again. I hate being sick, then again a day off from school ain't that bad lol.

If you don't have a fever you don't have the flu. Any of those symptoms along with a fever is a good indication of having the flu. Doesn't mean the fever won't come later though.

It started this morning. I felt warm but my temperature was still 98.6. I'm gonna take some ibuprofen, that will help.

Pig Sick and the normal flu both have a lot of similar symptoms. I wouldn't jump to any conclusions. Take it easy, drink your OJ, take some Dayquil/Nyquil and give it some time to see if it passes.

Go see a doctor if you're worried. Pretty sure that starting a thread here won't help much...

Keep your sickness quiet, and spread it to as many people as possible.

I also thought I had Swine Flu but it turned out to be Dengue, so just take it easy and go see a doctor, I doubt that if any of us are doctors in these boards we would be able to diagnose your illness.

Vitamin C DOES NOT cure flu!!!
I'm a certified nutritionalist, and I'm tired of hearing this "old wives tale" being used!
Vitamin C was though to cure flu long ago by a man had just earlier who won a nobel prize. (I forgot his name.)
Ever since then, scientists have been trying to prove his claim, but have failed every time.
Orange juice WILL NOT HELP YOU!

It will let you entertain yourself by blowing spit bubbles and posting a thread about how you almost got some on you... :thumb

While I don't think Vitamin C can get rid of H1N1, it has to at least help fight it.

Actually, studies are on both sides of the fence. Some believe Vitamin C helps (although a lot don't know why) limit the severity of a cold/flu while others believe that taking too much is detrimental to your health. Either way, drinking a few glasses over the course of a few days isn't going to hurt you.

Besides, I've always found OJ to be good for keeping hydrated - which IS critical when you're sick.
