after being away from my game systems for more than 2 years, I finally got an apartment with my girlfriend and brought my saturn, dreamcast, and ps2 up from florida. I had a chance to play the first dmc when it came out, and loved it. then I heard the second one wasn't any good, so I skipped it, and got dmc3:se 2 months ago. now that we're all moved in I started playing this beast last week, and played it for easily 5 hours yesterday.

I've got to say, I forgot how much I love playing games. the harder, the better, as far as I'm concerned, and this one's right up my alley. it's so fast and frenetic, and I love how you can't just rely on saving it to get by. you die? back to the beginning of the level, buster. I remember there were people who had talked about this when it came out, but I just wanted to add my comments on it, since it's the newest game I've played in 2 years.

one quick question though--does anyone know if when you beat it, you get to keep your learned abilities and weapons to go through it again? I sure hope so.

Yes. You can even pick the level you want to play. But if you change difficulties you start over.

Also, I think DMC3 was as hard as Ninja Gaiden. Which is to say, NOT. :throw

It's not a hard game! I don't know why people say it is. >.<

Maybe it's because they find it hard?

I'm talking about people complaining about it being too hard on a difficulty that's NOT called Hard. Complaining about a game being hard on a difficulty called "Hard" is just retarded.

Yeah, I'll get the special edition. I've never played any DMC games though.

BTW, I saw this cutscene of the game where these demons armed with scythes attack Dante in his apartment or something, and the graphics don't look as good there as they do in other stuff I've seen of the game. What gives?

I mean, graphics aren't the most important thing to a game, but they are VERY important. And in this day and age I have a certain standard for how good a new game's graphics should be.

seem pretty damn good to me, and besides, the action's moving so quick you don't really have time to notice.
