I just got this Longtooth on the Junkion from perceptor2.0 (thanks again dude) with the intention of opening it. I collect primarily loose vintage G1 and I usually don't buy MOSC because I don't see the point of the added expense. But I got a good deal here and love that there is no toy wear, but I'm having second thoughts about opening it. But I should shove those misgivings aside and let the little mutant walrus breathe the open air, right?

Also, is the little gun stored inside the shell with these guys? I'm not seeing it in the bubble.

I'd probably check out the 'scarcity' of these things (ebay etc) and unless that's super-rare I'd open it, given the condition of the card.

If you open it, though, you might be disappointed about the toy being lame. :)

(I have no idea about Longtooth specifically, but it seems in general that Pretenders were sort of simple and dull.)

I would, the card is pretty damaged. Plus after all these years he must be suffocating in such a small bubble. :)

I'd say open it, then again my answer to opening anything is to do it. I open EVERYTHING, rare and/or pricey. :D

    Couldn't agree more.

Open it. If for no other reason than sheer enjoyment of a fresh never touched toy.

Really, with the condition of the card, it won't affect the value too much. I would say it would be more satisfying to have it opened up and on your bookshelf instead of suffocating in a bubble. Don't let vintage get between you and the plastic crack!!! Open it!

With vintage stuff like this I would want to see if there's any interest in the carded version. Maybe trade for a loose one. I just hate to see vintage stuff opened up, even if the packaging is busted all to hell. This is coming from a loose collector. :)

    Always open your toys.

And really, in this case the card is pretty banged up and its not a hugely popular and in-demand character anyway, so it's not like you could get several hundred bucks for it later.

:lol  Too bad it's just Longtooth, not Bludgeon or Metalhawk.
