I was ticked off. I went to Smyths looking for HFTD Bumblebee and couldn't find him. Went to Agros (I live in the UK) and nothing so I tried TK Max (I don't know if that's in America or not). Anyway, what should I see but Megatron and I thought "Hey mine broke so let's here his voice again." Press the thing down and then "I am Megatron!" and I thought "Gee that was good." and pressed it again: "I am Megatron!" then I realised there was no laugh. Went to Optimus and he said "I am Optimus Prime" and that was enough for me. I left feeling ticked off. I am stuck with Pokemon Prime."
I'll have to double check when I get home, but I don't think ROTF Leader Megatron had a "laugh" on his voice chip.
What IS this i don't even..... You're pissed because the Leader Megatron you saw had the voice chip the US version had and not the one with the laugh? Is that even worth being pissed about? And Pokemon Prime? What?
The Leaders with the international voice chips can only speak their name. So instead of "I am Optimus Prime", Leader Prime just says "Optimus Prime". Pokemon speak.
So you found a Leader ROTF Prime with the right voice chip, and for some reason this pissed you off? Please to be explaining?
All the leader class toys i've seen or owned have the full, "I AM....." voice chips, (well, except "JETFIRE's MY NAME.."), as well as the other sound FX.
If you'd actually planned to purchase one with full English language sound effects, 18 months later might be leaving it a bit late. The one sold in some international markets says "Megatron" followed by a laugh. The UK got a mixture of this one and the one that says "I am Megatron". Similarly, there are international versions of Jeftire and Prime that only speak their name. Initially, the UK got versions of Prime and Megatron that only spoke their names. Hasbro UK said they'd specifically ordered the other ones... and a little while later they started to filter through. Apparently the international market version Starscream simply says his name and "Decepticons".
