I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting really tired and unenthused about G1 Classics. Given how we're pretty much digging into the comics for obscure characters nobody has ever heard of, perhaps it's time that fan favourites such as BW Black Arachnia or Armada Starscream got some love?

    Preach it brotha Snark!

A Classics BW Blackarachnia would be great. One of the few BW characters that truly needs a new figure.

Well, we did get Lugnut even if officially he's G1 cannon. It would be nice to get some RID or A/E/C updates though.

They already have done stuff from outside of G1. They did Cheetor and Dino- oh wait. Those sucked. But they did try and do Hot Sh- Oh.

The classics line should stick with what it's good at.
I wouldn't be above an Armada Starscream though. I really dig that design.
And maybe a revamp of a few RiD characters. . .

I hate to say it...but maybe, just maybe, if people who want other updates had bought the Dinobot, Cheetor, and Hot Shot molds, there might be more bones thrown at those who aren't "geewun" more often. I remember that Hasbro wanted to to Rhinox but I guess after the shelfwarming that the other beast classics did... musta gotten shelved.

Honestly, after the inevitable FoC Grimlock gets released, I get Prime Cyberverse Evac (renaming him Roller), and I find a figure to turn into a Classics styled Galvatron, I'm done with G1 Classics.

It's about time Robots in Disguise got some loving. One retail release that I never saw in-person, a single Titanium figure, a Botcon exclusive, and a TFCC club figure are just teases as far as I'm concerned. Beast Wars got a 10th Anniversary line. A small one mind you, but it still got that recognition. I feel RID deserved one too.

I would even be fine with a small Cyberverse sized line of figures, and if the Prime Cyberverse Optimus Maximus does well, a similarly sized RID Fort Max would be excellent (would also make great repaint potential for those who would want a G1 Fort Max).

Same could apply to you broseph.

Anyways, the only non-G1 character that immediately comes to mind that I'd want for Classics is Armada Sideways. Everything else, I honestly wouldn't care enough to buy. I would suggest RiD, but after getting some of the original RiD figures myself, I have to say, some of them are better than figures that come out now. Having classics versions of them would feel redundant (with the exception of Scourge, since there's already a new mold for him).

I don't understand why a lot of folks don't like the Universe Dinobot mold. Sure the U.S colors sucked but the Henkei version looks fantastic! I guess I could understand people disliking the minimal knee articulation in bot mode, but the overall hate it gets....I just don't have a clue.

And yeah, I'm sad as well that we never got that Voyager Rhinox that was hinted at, he SO needs to be updated!

I personally have no interest in non-G1 classics figures.

Completely agree. It's not like RiD toys command SUPER high prices either.

I personally have no interest in G1 classics figures.

I line called "Generations" should ideally draw inspiration from multiple generations, not just the first. A Lugnut here and a Hot Shot there over the span of several years is not enough. We've gotten so many wonderful characters over the years, it's a shame they've been all but forgotten. With Waspinator and Dinobot in the HoF, and the Beast generation grown up, you'd think Hasbro would go for the nostalgia factor there.

Yeah, most non-G1 toys don't really need a classics update, as their original toys kinda already nailed it. I mostly believe that the reason its lways G1 that gets redone is simply because you can't really take a G1 toy, look at it, and say "this is as good as it gets." I can't see them making a better version of guys like RiD Optimus and Magnus, as they're pretty darn cool. Only a few BW toys to me, need upgrading.

But really, think of it this way: 5 years from now, will the fandom be crying out of updated versions of Animated toys because its the 10th Anniversary?

EDIT:: The only ones I can reeeally get behind, aside from Rhinox, would be anyone in the HoF. Simply because if they're in the Fall of Fame, they better have a damn good toy too.

Then don't buy any if they are made.

Now for myself, several of the BW show characters could need updates. Any character in Beast Machines BADLY needs updates, RID, and A/E/C needs some too. Also throw in some of the Japan only characters from the Beast Era, that be nice.

As for Animated, I think a simple release of figures we never got would do.

While I know it won't happen, but I really, really, really want to see Updates/reissues of the Beast Wars Pre War and Animated Botcon sets in Generations. Just for the reaction of how some fans would act and to complete my collection with something I'll never get any other way.

I'd rather see new characters more than anything.
