I've been in Supply for over 18 years. Mistakes in inventory happen all the time, they always will. As long as there is a human element in there, there will be mistakes. They inventory system may work perfectly, but it's the input that causes the errors.

I agree with the title of the thread though. I went through TRU online to get the Back to the Future III - Rail Ready DeLorean, they shipped me the wrong one 3 different times. I finally got all my money refunded and went through Entertainment Earth.

Well long story short on why I am getting this last moment.

I started collecting in December. I didn't know about Unicron until January. Bought a custom painted one Mid January and fell in love with it that I wanted to purchase the original. By that time it was early Feb. Told a friend, and he wanted me to wait for him so we can save money on the two pack. I checked the stock and saw there were plenty left and said ok, no worries this stock has been high for over a month now. He got me the money, and boom they are gone. Hence the post.

Fair point on tax refunds. Made me finally pull the trigger on the iGear Command center on TFSource.

 

Let me know if that Command Center is nice. Had my eye on that for a while. I wish the decepticon one would come out.

 

By my count, this is your fifth thread on 2010 Unicron and you still haven't bought it. It's sold out at many retailers already. How long is this saga going to drag out?

From what I've read, it's not so great without employing some fixes, but I REALLY hope to make and custom build an Ark playset in my office when we get into our house, so I want to see and feel how they did that and then build mine from there

My advice is not to get too worked up about it. Things like this happen all the time in everyday life, not just with TF collecting. Sometimes if I go to the supermarket they have sold out of the bread I like, or the bus will be late, or the TV programme I'm expecting to watch isn't on because the channel replaced it with something else...

You can't let things like this (which, let's face it, is a minor blip in the grand scheme of things) stress you out, otherwise you are going to develop some severe health issues.

I feel sorry for anyone who "just started" collecting. If you are really passionate about it then by all means dive in, but yeah it's going to be expensive. Unless you are flush with expendable income.

I blame that rapscallion Michael Bay for this. Those horrible movies brought so many people into it (collecting.) I miss the good ol' days...

 

Also, you'll need to empty a floor of your house to make room.

Maybe it was the whole TFsource thing. Still strange 36 units sole in like 2 days. I could understand at launch, but not 5 months later.

BTW, that site is real nice. Bookmarking that site. He has some nice stuff. First site I saw with the Gear of War set in stock outside of China.

 

They are good. There used to be some issues when the store was owned by another dude, but he sold it and the new owner is rad.
