It's not wireless, no. And I wanted it for XBLA games like Double Dragon and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the Arcade Game.
I hope you like the sound of clicking. Because that’s the one thing it does in spades. I also hope you find it works better for XBLA games then I did.
The issues I have with it is the stick reads up, down, left, right and the 4 diagonals. That cool for game that where designed for that but games like Pac-Man where you have to make clear up/down/left/right moves I found it was a lot harder because it was to essay to hit the diagonals and go the wrong way or not move at all. Also every movement has an audible click as do the buttons. So for me a game was just click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click- Shit wrong way! click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-clik-click-click-click-click-DAMN IT! click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click- Oh forget it, where’s that game pad?
Well I have that issue on the gamepad too, minus the clicks. But for stuff like Double Dragon it's going to be AWESOME!
Just out of interest, whats the build and parts quality on these things like Buzz? I was thinking about getting one of these in case TS or CVS2 ever show up on the 360, but it looked a bit flimsy in the pictures and I prefer bats to ball tops. Plus i'd probably end up throwing it away in the event of a 360 X-Arcade adaptor.
Well if compared it to the Neo-Geo sticks it’s not even close. The bulk of it is plastic with a metal plate making up the bottom. The buttons are ok but I would have liked a little more spring back on them. The stick its self is my biggest gripe. If you push it all the way up and try to make a circle you can’t. It feels like the stick sits in a square hole so its essay to find the diagonals but the up/down/left/right directions or on the sides of the square and can be hard to hit in the heat of the moment. Really I would only recommend it for the hardcore DOA collector that wants it for a collection.
played some sf2 tonight with some friends, man the 360 pad sucks for dragon punches. i'm sure it'll come in handy for that. btw, is it a usb connection?
Good to see you got the Hori you sought (why does that sound so dirty to me?). Now, if your luck is like mine Hori will either release a generic one for the console or release one for VF5 that would have cost you much less.
Isn't there already a Joystick you can by that is wireless for XBLA? I saw one at Best Buy today and it was around 60 bucks. Plus I think it comes with codes to DL Frogger or something. EDIT: It's a Mad Catz stick, found this on eBay, probably not what you would want though. http://cgi.ebay.com/Mad-Catz-Xbox-360-Arcade-Joystick_W0QQitemZ170087927364QQihZ007QQcategoryZ122517QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
