Well, the title says it all.

My previous pair of headphones died, didn't even last a year... The right ear died on it. For some reason the right ear ALWAYS dies on my earbuds... o_O

Anyway, what I had before was THIS

What I am looking at: Expensive Sony Earbuds

The specs on the Sony's are amazing, and the specs on everything I have seen on forums for what other people recommend are... crap, and the headphones are much more expensive o_O
Am I missing something? People keep recommending Etymotic headphones, and the only thing they have going for them is the noise isolating feature.

Anyway, anybody here have great earbuds? What makes em great?

Are you really looking for Headphones that are that expensive? Because Sony does make good in-ear headphones that are only $10 at Target. And they are really good.

I swear by the skullcandy ink'd earbuds. Very clear sound and a nice rich bass. Perfect by me for an in ear headphone.

Honestly I have seen that it's a hit or miss with some people. My gf's brother tried them and he didn't like them. He preferred the smokin buds and I didn't. All depends on preference really. Also there was a string of buggy headphones that would go without within a week so maybe you had one of those pairs.

Ditto.. I had a pair.. but it got a split near the jack because I fiddled with it a lot. now I got a cheap pair of Ifrogz. They are fine.

Skull Candy are great though. I guess I got small tubes or something because I can never get the large pads to stay in my ears. But the smaller pads are a perfect fit. I get great sound and it blocks out outside noise very well..

i used to use skullcandy ink'd buds but i had 2 pairs of them eventually split open near the jack, which sucked. right now i have some jvc marshmallow ones and they're pretty decent. i like the foam inserts that they use instead of the regular rubber.

Like someone said before, they have some good cheap ones at Target.

And maybe I just got lucky, but I got some damn good ones at a dollar store a few years back.

You can find some good stuff at those dollar stores. I found a perfect case for my classic a while back. Held up great and was priced at $24.99 elsewhere:D
