Ever since I was a kid, I was always those type that would choose the good side all the time no matter what..During those time I never bought a single Decepticon, until now during the course of this year I've been buying a bit more 'cons lately to even out my collection. Now my question well..Actually 2 question is one..Which type of sub group of 'cons should I buy? Seekers, Combiners, etc..(PS: I have G2 Bruticus on Pre-order), my 2nd question is..What Megatron mold/figure is good to have in the collection? I can't keep track since every now and then Hasbro/whoever always changes his design. I guess another is...Is their any 'cons that you guys should recommend me on checking out? Any help or comments would be awesome! :D

To get a better idea of what I'm talking about...Here is all the 'cons I currently have.

    Henkei classics Astrotrain
    deluxe Ramjet, Thrust, Dirge
    MP Thundercracker
    MP11 Starscream
    FP Insecticons

Gen. Dirge is a favorite of mine, and if you don't like Dirge, you can get one of multiple other flavors. It really depends on what you're looking for (i.e. sleek jets, big tanks, etc.), though.

You should totally get a BW Predacon too. A slippery, translucent blue frog or a hulking, hugging pillbug would be nice additions.

You are going for classics right? This is my lineup:

    Megatron - Hegemon
Soundwave - G1 Soundwave TRU Reissue
Coneheads - Generations Thrust, Dirge, Ramjet
Seekers - Henkei Starscream, KO Henkei Skywarp and Thundercracker (The authentic Henkei molds are very pricey. Nowadays you can get a Generations Thundercracker, which wasn't available at the time)
    Generations Thunderwing

Have decided to strictly focus on the MP line at the moment though. However, I think TFC Hercules makes a great Devastator.

There have been some real heavy-hitter Decepticons released in the Generations line. Straxus/Darkmount, Thunderwing, Soundwave, and Shockwave. Also it's honestly hard to recommend a Megatron, there's no really perfect official one, but United Megatron excels, and Generations WfC Megatron is great (if not really G1-y).

It's tough to give an answer to "What should I get?" when I don't know what you have.

If you want a bad-ass Decepticon you need to get a Universe Onslaught.

There's several variants of Seekers out there you can bulk up your collection quite a bit using them only...

Long time back I made a thread where this was eventually composed.

Most of the named seekers... each represented by a different mold... and then some other jets... who could probably join the Seekers.

You may also want to check 3rd party items like the Giant/Hercules for Devastator, Fansproject Insecticons, and Fansproject Bruticus upgrade sets... be warned, it can be pricey... see sig.

Nice pic! Yeah you have a real lack of Starscream there, but fortunately one is coming out for Generations.

I'm pretty sure Generations Skullgrin, Black Shadow, Thunderwing, and Thundercracker can still be had dirt cheap. Also, RotF Bludgeon would fill out your back row nicely.

Glad someone has joined the noble Decepticon cause! I am a bit of the inverse, I started out 'con crazy and more recently have gotten more interested in Autobots.

^ Starscream is the bottom Tetrajet version from the Cybertron line. Actually, I've got FOUR versions of him atm. The original Energon deco that's ghostly/techy... which I could repurpose as Bitstream who so far's been a character in Aligned by name only... a G1 Deco version of Energon Starscream... Prime FE Deluxe Starscream... and the prior linked Cybertron Voyager Starscream.

I will be getting the FoC Scream from BBTS when that case arrives though. He'd probably wind up being my definitive version... especially if it gets resized to a Voyager later on.

Course, then I have to repurpose or sell the other bots... the FE Scream mold might be replaced by TFCC Slipstream, but I'm still apathetic to the retool. The rest? IDK.

Lol, I have this same Problem. My 'Bots Outnumber my 'Cons 4-1 almost. Its mostly because the Decepticons like to pad their numbers with numerous Combiner Teams that are Expensive to assemble while the Autobots have so many individuals among their ranks that are easier to get ahold of.
Even the Movie Lines did this. of the thirty or so Transformers my store sold of the DOTM line, only Four were Decepticons, and they didn't populate the Case very heavily. (only about one sample of a given decepticon at any given time)
