There are about a million great tutorials about how to colour in Photoshop out there.. I use one that Josh did a while ago on DeviantArt... if you have a search around the boards here you should find them. Have fun - it can take a while to get your head around but its well worth it!!!

If you happen to hit a line , try using color replace tool on a low pixels setting to change back what you hit zoom in really close on the pic ctrl and + should be it , it's a fast fix that you can try

I saw someone I tihnk KJ that did a coloring example, and he was coloring over the lines, but instead of it going out of the lines to much etc...the color was easy to erace on the outside, and didnt intefere with the black lines, it just basically colored in the lines!

You have to create a new layer. Set the layer with the lines to multiply. Then color on the new layer you just created that is set underneath it.

what drew said. that will make the white transparent, and let you colour -under- the lines instead, on a different layer :)  look pack a few pages for josh's excellent 'watch me colour' tutorial video

I'm a bit late, but the problem you're having is you're probably coloring on the same layer as the lineart layer. I made the same mistake when I first started coloring too, so don't fret.

All you do is create a layer BELOW your lineart layer. Color on that one. You need to set the lineart layer to MULTIPLY, which makes it transparent and you can color until your eyes pop out.

    Keep it fastened.
