I just got my Generations Sargeant Kup & Igear custom head set today and before I break anything I would like to know how to install it. I assume that you unscrew the tiny screw on the back of his head and split the head apart alowing it to come off of the ball it sets on. Then I just do the reverse to put the new Igear head in place. I also know than when you assume (ass-u-me) it makes an ass out you and me. So if thins is correct please tell and if it is wrong please tell me the write way. Thanks for any help, it will be greatly appreciated.

Did you not get the precision screwdriver that's included with the heads?

Yeah but won't grip the screws in either the stock head or the igear head, it isn't small enough. But I already had a precision screwdriver set with a bit that worked. Thanks for asking.

I had to use the screw on my original Kup head for the thing to hold together tightly. The screw they put in iGear's head didn't go in properly on mine for some reason.

Thanks I got it installed last night and it looks great. The stock head on mine was stuck together, it took me forever to wiggle it apart without breaking anything. By the way, what Optimus Prime is that in your tutorial?

When I got mine I had to attach the back half of the head first, then screw on the front. I screwed mine on extra tight because I didn't want visible seams.

Also the Cygar appears to have been superglued on at the factory for mine.

I replaced my Kup head just last night actually. I found that my igear head didn't come with its own screw so I had to use the original one. Also, did anyone else find that there was no grip/purchase by the screw into the new head until it reached the very limit of how tight I could turn it? It's like there was virtually no thread in there at all.

Strange, mine worked fine, but I got so tired of using it that I just switched to my precision set. Perhaps your screws were a little worn or stripped?

Ha! I think people around here recognize me more for that avatar than anything else I've ever done.

That's the Classics Deluxe Optimus Prime... which has been repainted several times now.

You tightened it hard enough to meld the plastic together? whaaaa
