okay, so my one year anniversary is coming up, and i have no clue what to do...i want to do something special, and my wife has barely given any input, merely told friends she wants something special...i'm not sure what to do...

i was thinking about getting good tickets for a baseball game, cuz she's a big baseball fan, but that doesnt seem special enough since we go to 10-12 games a season anyway... and i was thinking dinner at the restaurant we went to the night i proposed, but we went there for another reason within the last 6 months...and its also a drag because we both have to work the day of, and the day after our anniversary, and my wife leaves for work at 5am...

the only definite thing i have is i'm getting her a baseball jersey from the albuquerque isotopes, since that's our team here, and she loves them...and has been asking for a jersey for awhile now...

    so...suggestions?

Well, the plan the wife and I made for anniversaries was that as each year comes, we travel farther from home as a get away. My first year, we stayed in a 5 star hotel and ate at a fancy dinner in town. Our second year we traveled to New Mexico, and next year were going to Phoenix. After that were looking at Salt Lake city, San Diego, Seattle, British Columbia, Toronto, and so on until we leave the continent.

Take her to a very expensive restaurant and then a night over at a nice hotel.

not really sure about the budget...its definitely not alot. we just took a trip to denver, so funds are a bit tight...and traveling wont work anyway as we both work...and even the weekend before we have a birthday party on saturday, a graduation party that night, and another graduation party on sunday...

Nice hotel would be a good idea. Thank god I don't have to worry about our anniversary for another 5 months. It'll be 3 years in October

Well for my first anniversary i rented a time share house for the wife and I that had a 8 person jetted tub, pool table, and just about anything else you could want. I cooked her a nice dinner and then we enjoyed the rest of the place.

So a nice hotel with a big tub always seems to work with most women from what i can tell and a nice dinner to go along with it always helps

Take her skiing, then pretend you hurt your leg so you'll have to stay in bed. Then it's just picking out the right maid outfit for her to wear while she heals you

Just had our one year anniversary last Sunday, but we were together 11 years beforehand, so it really wasnt big deal.

There really is a team called the Albequerque Isotopes! That's awesome!

Albequerque mayor: Looks like we can't have that team, that city has too much spirit. How much for the Dallas Cowboys.

    Secretary: they play football.

Mayor: They'll play what I tell them to play, for I am the mayor of Albequerque!

Go to Montreal, smoke copious amounts of weed, get hellishly drunk, and have hot monkey sex in the backseat of a Montreal taxi.

Also, diamonds fit any occasion. You can score a nice heart pendant for a couple hundred bucks. (at least in Canada eh!) Even a nice locket w/ both your pictures would probably get you the extra special marriage sex;)

Go w/ the pendant (silver). If you can afford a couple small diamonds, earrings are also good. No baseball/sports/transformers. Although she may like them, it's not something you get on an anniversary. Trust me.

I followed the traditional first anniversary gift, paper. I bought tickets to a Broadway show in Boston. We drove down and caught the afternoon show, then I took her out to dinner and some shopping over at Faneuil Hall. She had a great time.

The "traditional" gift for a first anniversary is paper.

So get tickets to something. Anything. Combine with flowers. Note the connection to tradition. Reap the benefits.
