In the Transformers Ultimate Guide book, there's a great pic of Optimus Prime and all his inner mechanisms explaining what most of the parts do. I can't seem to find the picture, so I was hoping someone could tell me where to find it or-better yet- post the pic on here. Thanks.
In the Ultimate Guide written by Simon Furman the picture you are looking for is right after the Ark and before Megatron's mechanical insides
And since it's from a copyrighted book, asking for pics from it is a little shady, unless DK or whoever has already put them on the web.
^all he wants to see is that one picture, its not like hes trying to pirate the thing. anyways i own the book, if no one posts a pic by the time i get home from work, i'll take a picture of it and email it to you, my scanner is broken so i cant scan it. if all you care about is what hte parts do, i can just type it out in here for you when i get home too, let me know
This is the pic your looking for but I dont have the text portion. Here's Megatron for fun. BTW I got these off Google a while back.
I thought that I have seen official released pictures of these before....then again I might be wrong.
The question is - does this fall under fair use? If you can justify posting the pictures under fair use, you're probably OK.
it doesnt fall under fair use. it actually breaks the CR laws under the portion of depriving income. By posting a portion of the book you take away from the need of someone to purchase the book. Its becoming a PITA lately. Making my job very difficult. On another part of CR. My media center specialist (librarian) is no longer even allowed to display the dust jackets on the buletin board. its rediculous.
To fall under fair use, I believe the copyrighted work in question has to be used as part of another piece or work, such as using an artist song to make a fan made music video. This sounds more like "hey I can't find a copy of a book, can someone post a copy of pages 3 - 10 K THX BY"
I just need it for a reference for a school project I'm working on. My assignment was to try to find similarities between cell structure and another object of my choosing. I wanted to see if I could compare Prime and the way he functions to cell functions.
That sounds like fair use to me. As long as its not used for profit or for personal gain. It seems that it will be used academically which I would deem appropriate. I too own this, great book.
