He's sitting on the floor playing with the original BW Megatron and a few other old BW toys I gave him, and I hear him say "I'm gonna get you, YESSSS!" I lost it. He loves watching Beast Wars (over and over and over.. :lol  ) and that just brought a HUGE smile to a dear old dad... I even asked him after he said it "What does Megatron say?" and he replies "YESSSSS" :D

Sorry if it sounds like spam, but I just thought I'd share. :D

A new Beast Wars fan! Good job for keeping the love alive, so nice to be able to share your love with your young one.

When my step son was three, I did not feel he was old enough to play with my Beast Wars toys. I used to have specific toys at my house for him to play with that maybe I had duplicates of, or whatever. As he got older and wiser, he eventually found my toys. He's older now and I trust him to be careful with my toys. I made sure that he understands that my toys are more of a collection than toys to be physical with.

Oh, yeah, the BW Megatron was one I got as part of a lot with my Tako Tank (so it's the Japanese version of Megatron, and I have a Primal too). The one that goes on my shelf is the one from the TRU two pack that looks more show accurate. He's got various other BW toys that I got extra from other odd lots on ebay. He generally knows not to mess around with "Daddy's" Transformers.

I just thought it was great hearing him him say "YESSSSS"...

Its great! :)  My sons nearly 3, he's getting into G1 and Animated! Every yellow car we see now its "daddy look Bumblebee!" another yellow passes "look more Bumblebee" He's recently started calling all airplanes Starscream too, haha which is much more satisfying! haha don't worry, I'm making sure he doesn't forget the words Yellow, or Airplane!

Not spam at all. Your 3 year old tells me I have at least another 10 years to collect TFs:)

As in young kids make the line go on longer lol

My 6yo is now able to get to my "closet toys," the ones I care about more. But he's now old enough that he's careful with them. He'll line up all the Autobots on one side and all the Decepticons on the other and then have them take turns battling one-on-one. When I play with him he always takes the Autobots, and I always lose :)

Are you sure your wife wasnt cheating on you with Megatron?

    Still, that's absolutely adorable.

Wait till David Kaye hears about this....

Actually, David Kaye met my son when he was an infant at Botcon 2008...

Alex can identify any Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, or Shockwave. (Sometimes he has issues with the AEC Megatrons, but he eventually figures it out, but has no problem with the Beast Wars versions because he's seen the show so much).

:)  That's awesome. My kids prefer watching BW over G1 too. I love hearing stories like this, always brings a smile to my face.

That is incredibly adorable! This might sound weird, but what you said about your son takes me back to the days when I was a wee lad playing with my Beast War toys.

Oddly enough, he does NOT like Beast Machines. When he wants to watch something, it's either Beast Wars, G1, Animated, or Shaun the Sheep. :lol

Considering and taking into account that it's Beast Machines, it's not that odd at all.;)

    (I kid, I kid).

My 5 year old Daughter likes G1 toys the best, I like that I can pass along something from my child hood on to hers.
