Well, especially Christmas music played by bands I like. So far, I had Christmas songs/albums from R.E.M., Alice Cooper, Skydiggers, Crash Test Dummies, Weezer, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Lapdog and Lemonheads, but yesterday I found out that none other that Twisted Sister had recorded a Christmas album in 2006 (reissued in 2007 with a bonus track). It totally rocks! The video for Come All Ye Faithful (doubly crossed with We're Not Gonna Take It) is so awesome.
I love Christmas music too, I hate when Christmas is over because all the stores and radio stations stop playing it. I didn't know Weezer had a Christmas album, I have to look that up! My favorite songs are the Hetalia Christmas songs.
They released a digital 6-track EP in 2008, plus a 2-track single before the Green album. So 8 songs total!
I'm a sucker for Christmas music of all types. About the only song I really don't like is "Santa Baby" just because I always thought it sounded weird. I really like it all, just because it really makes the season. Springsteen has always been a sentimental favorite with "Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town", but I really like this one too - stumbled across it a few years ago: Dio/Iommi -god rest ye merry gentlemen - YouTube
This, but it's only because I work in retail. Which means, during November and December, I have to hear Christmas music non stop.
I love Christmas music to. But i only listen to it for 1 month- thanksgiving to Christmas. TSO is awesome stuff and i was lucky enough to see them live one year the tickets were a birthday present awesome stuff. I regret not buying the twisted sister christmas album when i had the chance in 2007. Saw it walmart and passed than never saw it again. Especially if it does rock as you say megatroptimus.
I prefer my satanic metal music! Doesn't have the "Explicit" thing on iTunes, I don't listen to it. Christmas music can effectively piss off. Okay, "Merry Fuckin' Christmas" and "Christmas in Hollywood" aside. I love a little sacrilege. OH SHIT, NO!
You grow to hate christmas all together almost God i use to enjoy christmas, now i can't wait for it to be over
Yeah, that's true, you hate the music, the people, even the holidays...one of the reasons I got the heck out of retail. I'm a Christmas baby and I was so exhausted I couldn't enjoy the holiday, my friends and family or my bday. As for the topic...love Christmas music, mostly instrumentals, and I have several that I play during the weeks around Christmas. I still have a clock up that plays a portion of different Christmas song on the hour. It was my mom's and reminds me of her, so I'm gonna keep it going for a bit longer.
@guard convoy I was going to post something like that, but then I remembered a part of my heart still likes it. I bet you by the time November rolls around, that part will just disappear.
I got me a collection of Christmas songs by Sammy Davis Jr, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. Like in old movies. Or the credits of Die Hard This was the first time I listened to Christmas music. I just remembered the old movies and thought "Well THIS is christmas music, I want to listen that now". I nearly made it to not encounter Last Christmas by Wham this year. But then one day I heard it 3 times in 3 hours... Well and I listend to Thunderdome X-Mas Edition
I know the Music Choice channels plays Christmas music from Nov.1st till Jan 7th. Somebody once told me there is a station on satellite radio that plays Christmas music all year round. I don't know if that is true, I don't have satellite radio.
