Why is it so hated again?
This is a thread. Really? That's...it?
Do you dab, Hank? I dab. You should dab.
Really? At this point people who post these type of threads whether it be for like or hate deserve some form of censure,IMO.
Maybe you could, you know, splash more water on it and say it happened while you were washing your hands.
why is it hated? cause its a "fun" movie, not a "smart" movie. most "fun" movies nowadays are "semi-smart" and because Transformers is "dumb" its "hated"
no, i dont know why i quoted hated. just felt like it.
It was a bad movie with good special effects. Since 90% of the moviegoers were in for the special effects, knowing what they would get, the movie delivered in some way.
The critics though have different standards and are not impressed by explosions and robofights, thus the movie got slammed big time. Who would have known?
Since the fanboys can't tell the difference between two sets of standards, they went totally baloney and started devouring themselves, projecting ulterior motives into the critics opinions, launched ad hominem slapfights and started decrying critics because of their choice of breakfast or something. And the old whats an opinion and whats a fact crap started again of course. Really embarrassing to watch.
Regardless of that, i think the outcome was the best that could happen to all partys:
The movie was a financial success, which means there will be a well funded sequel (hopefully better),
Bay got his slap on the wrist for his awful directing,
The special effects were really good, which is what everyone really cared about,
The devastating reviews were hilarious,
The crying of the fanboys likewise,
The fanboys getting owned big time by critics was hysterical as well.
It's so karmic. Why can't every movie be like ROTF?
Yeah, but if they pull this on The Last Airbender? Someone in Hollywood will die, yes?
If that movie turned out to be good, it would actually surprise me.
I am just hoping Shamalamadingdong's passed screw ups force him back into making a decent movie (I realy liked Unbreakable). That and his daughters are huge Avatar fans and I hope they keep him in line.
No it's hated because it isn't fun, it's two and a half hours of action which gets old after the forest fight and a weak story. I still thought it was okay though.
Anyways there are other places to talk about this subject, no need to make a new thread
We really, REALLY need a facepalm emoticon.
