I like Movie 1 Payload. Is that bad?

I just got to opening a package which contained a Movie 1 Payload. And I accualy like him. His Alt-mode is great, and his robot is suprisingly good. His head stays on tight, and he can stand. I also don't see twenty pegs like others have said. My only problems are I've lost his grill, and his torso doesn't tab together.

Does anyone else like him, or hate him?

I think his alt-mode is cool, and his robot mode is pretty okay looking.

Compared to, say, Dreadwing/Divebomb I think he looks awesome. Never owned one, though.

Payload is fine, until you try to stand him on a shelf in front of other figures. That beam sticking out from his back is the only real problem with the mold, but it's a pretty hard-to-ignore problem.

Nowt wrong with that at all, he's awesome. two dabs of glue hold the loose parts on, and a five minute mod gets rid of the massive bar. I think he's great myself.

Truthfully, I like his gut claw. It's ridiculously awesome.

I loathe the figure. I bought it for $2 and still feel ripped off.

It is good fun to fiddle with, but I have quite shallow shelves so it was a problem ;)

    Oh, him.
Well, to each his own. I had him briefly. However if anyone else likes him then God bless them for it.

You know, there's certain things I can't stand about the figure, but there's other things I love about it. I both hate and love his gimmick because it's different, but unfortunately doesn't help his stability. His head also falls off a lot.

Nah. If you like him, that's great, but for me, bad gimmick + bad scale = bad figure. I'd say Hasbro agreed, since they never once redecoed the mold--pretty rare in this day and age.

Always thought he looked pretty damn good from the front.

liked it except the stupid chest claw, so i removed it, was kinda pain in the ass cuz part of it was glued to the body. have yet to glue back the chest plate so now it sits there with an empty chest.

I quite like him. I glued his head and grill on properly and filed down where his wings hinged because they felt like the kind of plastic that would break at those points eventually. Sure he's got that big-ass bar poking out his back but I can live with it. He's got some pretty nice articulation too

I had him back in 07 but he came without a head (out of package!!!) so his body instantly became custom-fodder

Payload's OK. The grill always falls off during transformation (tried gluing it, didn't stick long), the head does too occasionally, the hip sockets are pretty loose, the bar in the back is pretty obtrusive, and his in-game counterpart drives me nuts, but I just can't hate him. Largely because Payload scales beautifully with certain Decepticons:

Not pictured, but he is also close in scale with Legends Barricade, Soundwave, Sideways, and Deluxe Brawl and Optimus (and technically Leader Starscream, going by alt-mode).
Wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro repaints him as the Superfund Con in the DotM line.

I want to remove the bar, but it seems to support a lot of the alt mode.

    Pretty much, this.

It was a pain to display Payload with the rest of my TFs because of that beam.

    I hate Payload.

One of the worst TF's I've ever gotten.
