ok i read that's PG-13... what's the rating
Have you been drinking?
This is neither news nor rumors.
First cut was, IIRC, R...
However, odds are..yeah, PG-13.
We were told that the movie was initially reviewed with an R rating. But after some calls from Spielberg himself, the MPAA changed it to a PG-13 rating with no editing.
"I know there's a page here"?
Boy, Steven Spielberg is pretty intent on those PG-13 ratings. So much so he made the rating UP for Temple of Doom! Actually, the story was pretty similar!
I understand not what says he
Exactly what I was thinking.......Do you mean what is the movie rated PG-13 for??
I would guess for Intense Sci-fi Action Violence, and large boobs............
i read on a site... that the movie is PG-13 also it's R... i can see it being R
for the violence
u not read rite its ok tho we love still u
hey ops huuked on foniks werked fer me
Ahh now that makes sense. Like the others said, it supposedly got an R to start with, Speilberg threw his weight around and got it lowered to PG-13 without any edits. And I feel like the ads I see still say "This film is not yet rated" so I get why you are lost.. But I think PG-13 is the final word.
thanks for clearing that up... pscoop
More or less, PG-13 is the *best* Target group to aim movies too. Making it PG would cause older audiences to stray away from the film, going to R would make parents not bring the youngins. So finding the middle ground is a great way to get both young and old to see the movie and spend their cash.
Guys, the movie has never been rated.
The report about the movie having been rated R was wrong. The movie in question was DISTURBIA, which Steven Spielberg was a producing. It was given an R rating and then dropped down to PG-13.
Since Shia LeBaouf appears in both films the media mistakenly thought it was Transformers, but they were actually talking about Disturbia.
From reading the TPB adaption I would say it will be PG-13 or higher. Guarenteed. Probably PG-13.
There have been a couple of half Tf commercials (Lunchables, Toys, ect.) where they said the movie is PG-13.
I have to emphasize this as I was aboot to post it.
Why the hell would a TF movie be rated R? Sure there is collateral human violence with a few intentional ones, but I'm sure none of it is graphic. Just people in exploding vehicles and buildings, and being vaporized.
I also certainly cant see it being because of the robot violence. So some bots get torn up, decapitated and what have you, but they're just robots. Living robots with personalities and souls sure, but still just robots.
