So today I decided to go to my favorite local Chinese restaurant to bring back home some dinner. As I was waiting for my food to be ready, I went next door to "When I was a Kid" store. I've mentioned this store before. It's a comic book/collectable toy store with die-cast cars, a few TFs mostly movie stuff, and other great stuff. Well, just like last time I was there, probably a month or two ago, he told me that everything was half off till the end of the month. Which, he told me the time before that. I had a hunch he'd say that again today. And sure enough, when I walked in, he recognized me, and said the same thing. "Everything's half off till the end of the month." Well, you said that last month, and the month before. Why not just mark it as such instead of "pretending it's a sale"? That's bullshit! He STILL had the G1 poster, and he still had 1-4 G1 comic-book set. The comic books were still in their "unopened" package, but I did notice the cover looked sun-faded. I honestly don't know how clean and crisp, and bright there supposed to look, but to me they look sun-faded. Having said all that, he had not a single Transformer I was interested in, not a single die-cast car I was interested in, but he did have a few cool things that sort of tempted me. He had two Zoid kits, he had several Alien Vs Predator toys, several Matrix toys including an awesome figure of Neo wearing his all black outfit with the famous dust-coat. He also had that machine-weapon thing that the humans used to fight off the sentinels with. It was a pretty big toy too, probably a foot tall? Anyway, I kind of chuckled to my self and left without purchasing anything. If he's going to give me this BS every time I walk in there, I don't want to buy anything. I bet I can get better deals on ebay. The Neo figure was about $45 I think. Have any of you had this happen? Please, don't pretend it's a sale when its really not.
