What to with the other 2 bots from Bruticus when my FP sets come in?
Honestly, I thought that fans would have started to scarf up the Energon bots instead. I thought it was odd that people started scalping the RotF sets because of the FP set. Barricade can still be found at Family Dollar and Big Lots!
Oh well . . . .
Sorry, I'm not sure what the question is here.
he means he can't bash and he have 1 tank and 1 chopper leftovers, perhaps he can make a diorama of Bruticus detroying tanks and heli?
Fansproject has something which will turn Bruticus Maximus into a more G1-themed combined of Bruticus. It includes replacement limbs (Swindle and Blast-off, I think). So someone who gets this and who already has the full combiner set will have two extra limbs.
The question stated by OP is pretty clear to me... What to do with the 'other two' when they have been replaced by Munitioner and Explorer in the Bruticus Maximus Gestalt...
Well... I've bought a brand new commemorative BM, just to be able to upgrade it with Munitioner and Explorer. I'm still waiting for it to arrive, but when it does, Swindle and Blast Off will be relegated back to the box.
Easy. Buy two sets of the fansproject upgrade and display one set in robot mode. At least that's my plan. Swindle and blastoff look way too good to be only seen as appendages
Not to seem rude, but I am well aware of this (I have Universe Bruticus and the FP add-on figures on pre-order).
Sorry, it was just the grammar in the OP perhaps?
Anyway, I agree that if at all possible, two of each is the prefereable option as the figures look just too darn sexy to be an arm and a leg only.
Store them away in a box or something. Maybe give them to some kids who like Transformers.
I'm using mine in part swaps, this way Brawl is green with black limbs. Same for Vortex if he needs it. What's left will get sold to someone who needs the limbs for their FP set or just used as cannon fodder.
We'll have a bunch of Swindles and Blast Offs on eBay...
Play with them.
The Energon Combiner Limbs are awesome, awesome stand-alone molds without the gestalt gimmick. Have the other guys combined, and then you've got a tank and a helicopter free to be awesome on their own.
Wait for the inevitable FP repaint of the two replacement limbs, pick up a spare Energon Barricade somewhere, and make a second mix-and-match combiner.
Or, just display them in bot mode as different characters. Quake and Blazemaster, maybe?
You know, thats a really good point. I was unhappy when Gunbarrel and Reverb were cancelled, but the FP set probably means that there will be a load of 'spare' limbs around for people like me who dont want the combiner but just liked the two limb-bots. If anyone wants to sell one of each type, let me know (UK preferred)!
Its a good mold to have extras of. If your building the fans project combiner your probably are going to display them in the combined form anyway.
So you have a extra Tank and helicopter as desk toys. Or if you want to be para millitary about it. They would be support units to keep small infantry like Autobot legend class or scouts from overwhelming the combiner.
I actually just bought an Onslaught and 2 limbs. Didn't buy the 2 limbs I won't need. If you're able to find a cheap Onslaught at Family Dollar or something, grab it. I think there will be quite a few limbs available for sale once people start realizing they only need two.
Donate them to charity.
i was thinking of bashing the chopper into either a classics rotorstorm, or whirl, and maybe something else i have planned for the tank
1) Combine them with Reverb, Gunbarrel & the $7 Barricade.
2) Buy two sets of the Fansproject and display in both mode. Extra Barricade also needed.
3) Kitbash them into Flywheels and Battletrap. Hurry up with instructions rumble!!!
I originally had 3/5 of Energon Bruticus Maximus, but gave them away and bought ROTF Bruticus. I hadn't heard of the upgrade set yet and the other members of Energon Bruticus were pretty expensive. The ROTF version was a great substitute.
Anyway, I like the limbs enough that they will be displayed in vehicle mode with the combined FP Bruticus.
