....Mass Effect, which I got for my birthday (back in September) that I never even opened.

    QUICK.

GameStop trade-in or should I open it and actually play it?

Agreed, even after playing, well, most other high profile titles on all current gen systems, this is still my favorite current gen game.

Yes. Play this. I do not often suggest games that Xbawks fans rave about, but this is very much an exception (btw: I did play ME on a PC, so console experience may vary). A very good game. Im just eager now for Mass Effect 2.

Might as well play it. As Gamestop doesn't accept Un-opened games for trade in anyways.

Am I the only one against trade-ins with Gamestop? If you're going to get rid of it, trade it on TGN or ebay.

    Play it, dude!!!

Seriously though, I have spent less time on my 360 recently, but the ONE game that I clocked some serious hours was this one, because even when you're not following the main story, there is so much cool stuff to do, and even if not on a mission, you can hope on your ship and explore some far off planet. It's definitely one of the best RPGs I have played in a long long time, and I am dying for a sequel.

Landing on strange planets for the first time was a pretty cool experience.
Never played a game like it.

A quick playthrough will net you about 500 achievements, but hurry, it's value may drop some more so they can sell more at Christmas time

Hey, if you decide to do a GS trade in, I'm willing to buy a extra copy of the game if you want to broaded your options of selling it.

I got my friend hooked on the game ever sense I'm loaned him my copy, might make a good Xmas gift.

    EDIT (I keep doing that!)
Otherwise, play the game and be one of the coolest space heros evvvvar!

    To each his own...
I've made a good chunk of cash selling games and CDs on half.com, all while dictating my own prices

But I strongly agree with whoever said to go ahead and open it if it's going back to Gamestop... They don't care if it's opened, they'll give you the same low price. Might as well enjoy the game

Sell it on ebay, or here on the forums. Gamestop/EB Games are the devil!

Play the game. It's a pretty awesome gaming experience. First game I ever got all Achievements in because I enjoyed playing it that much.

Has to be one of the best games I've played on Xbox. The story line is great. It can get repetitive if you try to explore ALL the planets at one time. If you do it through out the story, it's not too bad.

Also if you're looking at Mass Effect 2 (for when it comes out), it is supposed to import all your achievements and personality into the new game...

Save often, and by often I mean after every accomplishment no matter how small it might seem. Othe than that the game is so awsome.
