Pretty cool. And it definitely looks a lot nicer than Dylan's watch-bot in DotM. ;)

Hee-hee! That reminds me of those old G1 watches, but cooler because it detaches!

well, to make it even cooler, you have to go to JCPennys and get the version with the G1 head and the movie body..
And switch them out, so you have a G1 Prime body and head, and a movie version as well!

or just go get the original one...

    That's epic.

I'd wear it and go around saying things like "6.AM ALARMS ARE THE TIME OF ALL SENTIENT BEINGS" "One Shall Tick. One Shall Tock." and "GIVE ME YOUR TIME"

I've been thinking of picking up that Prime watch. He just looks so goofy that I have to have him.

I used to have a watch that turned into a jet, and I thought it was a Go-Bot Leader-1 thing. But I just looked it up and it wasn't:

Eighty bucks?! Pfft. My unlicensed nostalgia isn't worth that much.

Those have been on sale in the UK for months now, but in completely different packaging. I've been able to resist them because these are the transforming watches I remember from the 80's.

I spent forever trying to find one of these at a decent price (they go for a lot normally) until I found this one whose battery had leaked and messed up the insides. I bought it anyway, and on a hunch went to TRU to find a similar looking watch, ie similar size with two face buttons for select/Date. In the end it was a Thomas the Tank Engine watch, and after a little jiggery pokery the insides from the Thomas watch fit into the 80's transforming watch. Almost 30 years difference yet the cores are practcally the same.

Anyway, those new watches have caught my eye, but because I already have this one I can't bring myself to buy one.

I had one of those! It was black and it was awesome. It was my favorite watch as a kid. As I recall one winter day I looked to see what time it was and found I only had a wrist strap; somewhere along the way my jacket sleeve must've pulled the robot off. Never found it, that was the end.
