Movie 2 had Demolishor wrecking a bridge and Devastator destroying pyramids. I think it would have been fine to keep their deaths.

 

True. But if for some reason their parts aren't in the final movie, I wouldn't want to get my hopes up that they'd be in the deleted scenes of the dvd release, just in case they weren't even made.

Even though the movie has a huge budget, there is still a limit. Hopefully the money for the twins part was put towards even more sweet robot action : D

i was finally able to read the novel and this was the first thing i read..

I know they ruin the movies, but this one particular shows they're sacrifice. Hopefully on the Blu Ray its going to be a deleted scene.

I really didn't like the twins because they didn't grow as characters. They were nothing more than bumbling comic relief characters who somehow survived a battle against Devastator.
They were 2 dimensional characters.
It would have been nice to see them grow, and develop.
However the director is a 2 dimensional character as well, I'm afraid.
