I just bought tickets to both of the shows in Phoenix. I rule!

Both shows sold out in 4 minutes.

He's okay, but it's always better when Springsteen and the E-Street Band, or Bon Jovi cover his songs. Especially "Jersey Girl"

Those are O.K., but christ that song is old. I wouldn't be mad if he played it though. I hope he plays some stuff from the 80's. With two shows to look forward too, I think I'll hear what I want too.

He is playing at the Orpheum, which is really small, and really nice!

I have 16th and 20th row seats! God I cannot wait....

Cool. Hope you have a blast!

I only have 3 concerts lined up this summer so far.

June 5: Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers (Philly, Front Row! w00t)

June 24: Pearl Jam (Meadowlands...I think. Don't really want to even go to the show, not a fan of the band, but my bud's fiancee can't go that day, so I got drafted.)

July 18: Billy Joel at Shea Stadium :D  (Christ, this'll be the 16th time seeing Billy live)

Tom Petty should be good, as well as Pearl Jam. I haven't seen either one live, I should rethink my life.

But seriously, you can buy like 50 Pearl Jam concerts on CD. Tom Petty hasn't had a good album since Wildflowers. (which is just mindblowing, his best, IMO.)

This might be my one and only chance to see Mr. Waits. He barely tours at all...I need to tape it, somehow...just for my own collection.

Dude, I love Tom Waits, but I just saw ticket prices for the Mobile concert-- $85. I don't love him that much :thumbdown

I guess his fan-base consists largely of relatively well-to-do old folk, but damn. Rain Dogs is definitely in my top 10 albums of all time, though.

For those that haven't seen it, Tom Waits' press conference for the tour (it's extremely funny and also explains my PEHDSCKJMBA comment):

I gladly paid 90 for each concert. I checked ebay prices, just insane. I'm holding on to mine.

The press conference was indeed awesome. If you haven't watched it, watch it right now! Just be sure to watch ALL of it for the payoff..
