I prefer the 2010 Unicron so much more to this, if the price is good thought it'll be good for those that didnt get the takara Unicron.

Hopefully Botcon will confirm this Unicron being a US release, and maybe we'll hear if we're getting the Primus repaint as well. One could hope.

I am going to wait. Watch Has/Tak release a new mold of this guy that is actually G1 accurate vs. Armada accurate with a G1 paint job.

 

I have the original armada release, (picked it up at kaybee toys for 20 bucks ) but this will be a must buy if its released.

Edit: Just realized the secret item might be that Leader Prime with that Jetpack and gatling guns.

 

I really wish they didnt release this. I mean, lets move on. I have a unicron and I'm sure most of us already have one that we are OK with. How about a NEW unicron or something else worthy of a supreme size class.

 

It's not like this repaint is taking up a spot for a potential new mold. If anything, I imagine this repaint will help bring in money for a new big/supreme/ultimate mold later on (really depends on how well it sells). Honestly, if this is released in the US, and isn't hard to find, I'll definitely get it. I don't have a copy of this mold yet, I like the look of this, and it would certainly be cheaper than tracking down one of the previous versions.

Edit: Also factor in new fans/collectors that started post-Armada. I myself didn't start collecting till the tail end of Cybertron.

Completely agreed. If I owned the Takara version I'd definitely be trading up. As is though, I'll just go right ahead and buy this bad boy when he comes out since i don't have a Unicron already
