When you speak out like this, it inspires. Some are too embarrassed for some reason to mention. You'll make a good leader one day. Many of our greatest historians had similarities, and it helped drive them to become what they are.
one of my best friends has cerebral paulsy, which I know isn't the same thing, but still sucks being in a wheelchair. If it helps, I give him no special treatment, I'll rail on him like I do any of my other friends Anywhos, that does royally suck, is there some sort of surgery or something to repair it?
That dude in Shallow Hal had Spina Bifida, and he was pulling in all kinds of chicks! Just hit the gym hard and no one will say shit to you
lol, oh Bryan. Not trying to make fun of you or anything but that's not really much of a disadvantage since most people get stared at, regardless of if they walk different or not and being happy about getting special treatment just because you have a problem is pretty lame because people should be treated properly regardless of having a disability or not.
I took you off ignore on a whim, and look! Something ridiculous. Are you serious? "Most people" don't get stared at. That's absurd. And dude was clearly trying to make light of his condition--he's employing a lil' self-deprecating humor as a coping mechanism. You know, to help deal with his VERY REAL MEDICAL CONDITION. I'm pretty sure he isn't pimping his condition as being an advantage. "Oh yeah, this disease rocks, check out how I cut the line at Six Flags, suckas! So glad I don't have a normal spine like all those lameasses."
Spina Bifida is nothing anyone would make fun of you for here. No way. Anyway, my friend Amanda's son Jonathan has Spina Bifida. He is 6 and is confined to a wheelchair. But he is one of the sweetest kids I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Anyway, he is supposed to have the same surgery that this guy had so he will be able to walk: E:60 Feature Walk On - ESPN Video - ESPN
Uh........................................................... Sure. Ezila82 & Bryan: Thanks. I do have a lot of friends, but i do have some enemies (not because of my disability, just because they are selfish sluts who actually think Old Dogs was funny). Wierdly enough, even though my walking is bad, my dancing is pretty incredible. And me and my gf rocked in our schools talent show. And i will try to upload pics of my braces for this thread, so keep checking back within a few weeks. And i apprieciate the comments, and dont be afriad to leave some on my page
This. And at the last part. If you had a disease like that, you might try to use humor to lighten the mood. Massive props to tfan123. +10 respect. +30 respect. +It's over 9000! respect.
My cousin has a very minor case of it, but it still hinders him. Another friend of mine has it, along with many other health issues. Just know that you can always come to the internet to talk to some weirdo living in a basement.
Yeah, let's make fun of the guy with a debilitating disease! Because it's totally his fault he has it! And then he has the gall to try to live a normal life by dancing in a talent show! Wait....
Thank Primus that is NOt me. I hate when people kick me in the balls. Second, Sage, its ok if people try and make jokes. Shit, even i make jokes about it. Like: a long time ago when my gf, before we got together, asked me what happened to them, and i told her i was in a car accident (not ture of course0 then when she started going on and on crying saying how she was sorry, so all of a sudden i break out laughing, and tell her i was kidding. then, she told me to lean in to her face, then she bitch slapped me upside the head. Wonder how we ended up as a couple? Anybody got an idea, cuz im not real sure. So, in conclusion, i actually love having this problem. i get to cut to thr front of the lines at school, get to enter first in the theatres, you know when they finish cleaning the house. And i won in a costume contest at my school. (PS I made a custom outfit as ROTF Soundwave, too bad i didnt get pics of it before it got ruined by my asshole ex gf. F**K her )
