I have reason to believe Silas is not in BD.

In the promo, you see silas in something mechanical, but this is not breakdown, as breakdown is seen in the second promo as being attached to two Physic-patch cords. "Then why is Silas in something mechanical?" Because he is not a machine, his mind has to get out of his real body first. What if that machine he's in can transfer his mind to breakdowns? But then why are there two Physic-patch links? My guess is that Breakdown is not dead, but simply in shut-down. So if MECH finds that out, they'll want his mind out of the body, so they'll transfer BreakDown's mind to Silas'.

Wasn't Breakdown's eyes out? When a Transformers lights go out, usually that means a Transformer is dead.

    1. not always

    and

    2. they can sometimes "get better" after supposedly being dead anyway.

It's not like a hard and fast rule or anything.

Every time I see Breakdown's body in Crossfire, I can't help but think, yeah, he's definitely alive.

THe eye light thing was even shown in season one. Bee was put into shutdown and he went dark. Hell, even while patched to Megatron his lights went out.

Well, maybe Breakdown's body is alive but his mind is dead. I think his spark has already left and joined the allspark, which means there is a vacancy that Silas can take advantage of.

Well, what other explanation do you have that tells how Silas will be able to go mobile when his whole body is practically broken?

Yeah, Cheetor's eyes went dark and he was fine by the end of the episode. Stasis lock has those symptoms. Gray Transformers....those are pretty much fucked.

Except in Beast Wars. And Animated.

Oh which, I realize, TFP is neither.

Again, not always. Besides Beast Wars and Animated, G1 also showed both Ultra Magnus and Springer get decapitated and then later revived.

Optimus went gray and then got better.

I'd actually like to see Silas have to fight with Breakdown's mind over who controls the body, actually.

I don't think the writers will do that, but it'd be neat to have a TF with split personalities who doesn't have it played for comedy like Blitzwing.

Optimus has been in pieces. Magnus has been in pieces. Springer has been in pieces. All turned out fine.

They are robots. There is no "rule" that A means B. For every "rule" someone can think of, others can easily point out exceptions.

And more importantly, all these "rules" are based on nothing but fan assumption. Neither Hasbro nor TFP's producers have ever told us that "gray means dead" or "dimmed eyes means dead" or "decapitated and in pieces means dead". They might mean dead or they might not.

You gave me a short, but really good laugh.

Some of the tecnologies baseb on examining the BD's body...

And for the rest quotes: some people wrote about being told that there will have been no resurrections. So, if here the eyes lost their light- the spark died down. The body must be empty.
