Ok I was listening to some articles on wikipedia talk about how this generation of humans are weak physically and mentally because we rely too much on technology to do stuff for us. Im geussing what he was trying to say is that technology controls us basically. Is this true?
We control cars, we control planes, we control ships, we control the weather... on indoor movie sets, we program programs to do whatever we want, you're the one in charge of whatever you are using to post threads.
Pretty much. If every piece of technology were to stop working tomorrow, most of us will go insane. Hell, I have a very mild panic attack when I lose internet access.
That's what I hate about youngsters and teens depend on tech so much I don't use much tech so I feel like I'm 80 years old
I guess you can say that again OP. I can't live without internet access. I get a heart attack when my cell phone loses cellular data. So I guess we're on the same boat.
Last time I lost internet I ran outside and played in the forest and climbed trees all day. I actually wouldn't mind too much.
I know i have an addiction to technology. I love when something goes wrong w/ my phone though. The longer i don't have access to it, the more i explore outside. lol I am back in school and almost 30. I watch the way the kids are today, and it's pretty scary that this is how it is now. No one watches where they walk because they're glued to their phones.
If it's only internet we're losing, I'd manage. I'd still have my computer and Cintiq tablet and, honestly, I'd probably be way more productive with both of these items if I didn't have internet. It would however mean certain expenses; I couldn't apply to studios online so I'd have to get some blank DVD's to burn my demo reels to and bring them along with me job hunting.
I wouldn't. I love nature and wish I could find a forest or something like a forest around here so I could just sit get some fresh air, see some wildlife, and draw natural stuff
Well I think im right, humans are controlled by tech. Takd technology away from certain people and they become nothing it seems like.
someone who understands that exercise is still a very real thing! finally. it's not that hard to go outside or hell, exercise just in your house for a few hours a day. it's not going to kill you to not go yolo'ing with your friends at the nearest mall.
