Why are you keeping your collecting a secret? It's not like you're collecting child porn or something along those lines. Be proud of your hobby, guy.

Don't be ashamed of your hobby, be proud of it! If collecting Transformers makes you happy then don't be ashamed of it.

I don't really have any mates who are into TFs, so I know what it's like, but at the end of the day I'd rather spend my money on plastic robots rather than getting so drunk I'm throwing up in the gutter every friday and saturday.

There's nothing to be ashamed of. Collecting Transformers is a perfectly normal thing to do. We're not freaks. Some of us have even slept with women.

I'm sure some of us have.

    One of us.

Wait, that turned out to be an inflatable.

If we thought you really were a woman, you'd be inundated with requests to cyber with them over MSN.

Be proud, this is a Transformer website.

I don't think, and I hope not, people will flame you for liking TF's.

And they shouldn't happen, but that's the world.

Heh I know where you're coming from cause when I started my collection I tried to keep it secret...................................My sister didn't get that memo

so since then I have learned not to be ashamed of it...............it was hasbro's fault for mixing some of my favorite things together.

    vehicles and robots.

It was bound to happen eventually.

I think I speak for all of us when I say that collecting transformers as an adult is perfectly normal. It so happens that I have covered all the windows in my house with tinfoil, but that was to prevent the manuscript I'm writing for Star Wars Episode 7 from being stolen from my thoughts and has nothing to do with being ashamed of the fact that my living room floor is covered in transformers, pizza boxes, and a family of hamsters that escaped from their cages last fall.

To plagiarize, "To thine own self be true."

Hey now, no need to be ashamed because you're an adult who likes and collects Transformers. My brother and I, we're in our twenties (I'm 23, my brother's 29) and we collect Transformers. We're not ashamed of it either. Very rarely do people inquire about my buying an armload of Transformers. My mom and grandma are the only ones who think I'm nuts buying "little boys' toys" and that I'm wasting my money on them.

I don't have friends in the real world who are just as crazy about Transformers as I am, but I've got a great deal of friends here and on another TF forum, so it's not too bad.

nemisispringer: Were you at this year AA this year? If you saw any of us, you should've said Hi. It was my first AA, I even brought a book to read in case everyone turned out to be uber-geeks :lol

Fortunately TFWEurope are all really sound, had a brilliant time, can't wait till next year, and we're planning on Botcon as well!

Collecting-wise, I've got no-one in real life up here that shares my passion for the toy robots. Most folk I know know about them though, a couple are derogatory, but I couldn't care less :D  Everyone has different interests, a mate spends thousands on fancy hi-fi equipment, at least my TF's don't depreciate as quickly!!

A guy at my work tries to take the piss, but it's mainly his jealousy that I've got the disposable income to blow on TF's, he's easily quieted :D

I want my money back, you said you'd keep quiet :mad

    Bewbs or GTFO.
