Now I just need to restore it. I know there was someone who had built his own cabinents on here, but does anyone know a place to get old acrade bits? I mostly want/need decals and bezels and the like. I know of jammaboards.com to get spare parts and boards.

    Oh snap.

I've wanted a cabinet for a while, I just can't decide what i'd want (or bring myself to pay the prices, but oh well).

I'd rather have UMK3, but still awesome.

Found a few sites that offer the side art and custom bezel's (the boarder that goes around the screen). The bezel actually lists all the character moves and finishers. Unfortunatley the side art is more than half the price I paid for the machine.

I did however find an archive site for Arcade art that has 70x36 inch scans of the side art, now I just need to get down to Kinko's and see how much they'll charge to print them. I've ordered replacement buttons, nothing wrong with the ones in it but they're just old. Four red, four blue, two white, and one each with the icons for 1 or 2 players on it. I need to get a new marquee header, the light has started to yellow the back of the one thats in there and a new control panel overlay. Might get new joysticks as I prefer the inverted tear shape style to the ball on a post ones. I'm also looking to put a 25 inch monitor in it if it's possible, I'll need to do a bit more research and save up the funds for that though.

I only paid $350 for it and $20 delivery, the guy had listed it for $400 so I saved up to find out he had dropped the price. It's not a dedictaed unit but it's very close in dimensions and is cheaper than some of the haggard ones currently on ebay. I never expected to get a machine thats this good in shape for less than $500.

If I get the proper control panel that ads the 6th button then I can easily swap MKII out for MK3, UMK3, or MK4. Since it's jamma standard it's pretty easy to swap out PCB boards for most games that conform to that standard. There's actually a switcher online that will allow you to plug 6 jamma pcb boards into it and use a remote to switch between them effortlessly. Right now I'm sticking to MK2 since it's my favorite MK game, although I would love to try and get a Wave Net version of UMK3. This version added Noob and Rain as well as online play on dedictated T1 lines. Unfortunatley it uses a dedicated PC onlingside the game's pcb board and might be a bit out of my range in skill/knowledge and price.

I woulden't get your hopes up on finding a Wavenet UMK3, there wern't all that many produced and even the folks that hoover up boards and dump them for emulation haven't been able to lay thier hands on one.

I'm inclined to think that playable Rain is most likely a myth, nobody has ever produced any proof of it and some people do have a tendency to believe things about arcade games because they saw them in a home version.
