I'm not knocking the artist, because thats some kickass stuff, but if something like that was made for a live action movie it would look like a joke.

That is a cool little movie there...

That being said, the argument has been made a zillion times...people don't like the movie designs...big surprise. :rolleyes2

Yeah. It's amazing for a new G1 show, but not for live action.

Except for the fact that this video is animated over a live action background, I don't see a lot of difference between this and the video that Galavtron1 started the thread with...

...also, am I the only one that thinks it looks like the yellow sports car bot fell on his ass as soon as he went out of frame?

I find this to look a hell of a lot more real than the first video posted.

I'd say it's further along than the first video, lit to match the background and stuff. And the model's got more bits to it, but ultimately they all play in the same design ballpark when we're debating which should be used in a Transformers movie.

The first video entertained me until they brought fricking Sunstorm on. Then it lost about 20 respect points.

No offence to the animators, but I think the video's in this thread just doesn't do justice to a live action Transformers movie. I just don't see blocky things jumping from paper into the world. I just don't.

If G1 purist's like G1 so much, why ruin it further by CGI'ing what was meant to be hand drawn? My my the world we live in :lol

oh my god that vid was beautiful.
I agree, anyway I can get a copy of it to keep on my comp so I don't lose it and show off to friends when they come over to my place?
    wow
that's also become my favourite fan-made Transformers animation.
Although it might never be anywhere as detailed for a 'live action movie' that's made by one or at most a handful of people. Imagine if a proper grouped worked on something as effectively and produced an improvement of this and not some wacky designs on the new movie (ok, Prime's nice, and Jazz is ok too, but megs and SS just ruined my want for buying a decepticon in the new movie line), man... wouldn't that just be grand.

I prefer what was done for the movie. It's impressive for an amateur, but would be woefully underdetailed in the actual movie and they'd stick out like a sore thumb.

So basically you want a film with moving toys? Sorry, but that looked about the level of "Reboot" in my opinion.

That's better, but still looks artificial to me. The transformation looks no different to those I've seen in the movie so far, but the robot looks clumsy and incapable of fighting with any semblance of credibility.
