Happened to me once too. One crawled up the sleeve of my t-shirt and was nailing me repeatedly in my armpit.

I tried to get him off by running to the nearest tree and slamming my back into it. He flew away, wanted him to DIE A PAINFUL DEATH.

Bees leave their stingers when they sting. Wasps do not. Wasps are jerks.

My son is pertrified of wasps, bees and any other biting insect. I try to explain that they will not go after him if he would just leave them alone, but your experiance may prove me wrong.

Also, did you try to punch the wasp in the face??

Wasps suck, I found out the hard way that I have an allergy to the and unlike bees they can continually sting and eventually the stinger will dislodge from their body. Be careful though because even if you don't have allergies multiple stings can cause problems. Hope you feel better soon.

I attempted multiple times, I hit him with my backpack, then ran to a tree where I slammed my back into it. I didn't bother it all, I was walking into town. :/

It was only 4 stings. So I think I am ok, I am definitely paying attention to them, and thanks.

I was in a gas station store- and the guy in front of my had a wasp on him. We got checked out by 2 different cashiers, and I waited for him to come outside. Told him you got a wasp on your back- and tried swatting the wasp off- but the bugger was really clinging on- ended up pulling it off by its wing. Can you imagine the pain he would have been in? he was driving- and he would have got stung when he sat down in his car!

A wasp once crawled into my soda can without me noticing and when I went to take a swig I got stung inside my mouth. Another time I was in the middle of a long drive and a wasp stung me on the eyelid. I had to pull over and call my brother to drive all the way out with a friend to meet me to drive me and my car home (via the hospital). I almost lost the sight in that eye because of that.

I hate wasps. They must all be destroyed.

Agreed. I am glad he didn't my eye. A mosquito got me above right below the eyebrow about 2 weeks ago and that I am allergic to, my swollen shut for a day.

Maybe they have vespiary near that place. My mother recently found one in our balcony, for example. They are very aggressive near their 'residence'!

I don't think I've ever heard someone call a wasp's nest a Vespiary in common conversation before, but I'm going to start doing it.
