Well not thjis exact one, but ever nince I was little I have wanted KITT. After years of putting models together that looked worse than ass because I suck, bad 80's toy versions that sucked worse, and a feautile attempt to find this one locally Shadow Convoy came through for me and I have a childhood Grail.

My only real gripes are the corner lights are supposed to be clear not amber, and they left the clutch pedel from the model they used to make this one out of as KITT is an auto but other than that it makes a great display piece, now I need to get KARR from the same line to go with him.

That's still my dream car. I forgot I used to have a KITT and now you've spurred my interest to get a new one. Thanks.

    That's KILLER!!
I still have my original KNIGHT 2000 toy from the 80's. It's the one that came w/ the 7" Michael Knight fig and when you pressed down on the license plate it the back, it said a couple of different phrases from the show.

Is that the 1:18 diecast one?

Pretty cool. I still want to get the relatively crappy '80s toy though...to go with my 1:18 Mego Dukes of Hazzard Bo/Duke/Gen. Lee and CHiPs Ponch/Jon/motorcycles, and the 'so obscure I can't remember who the hell made it' Magnum P.I. Ferrari/fig.
With Kitt and the A-team van, I think that corner of my collection would be complete.

the lady down the street from me is selling a 1989 black Firebird for $1,000. She said it was the same year and model as KITT. Unfortunately we live on a dead end street so it just sits in her driveway by her barn.

It's the newer Ertl one. I have wanted one since they came out but the stores in this town are ASS.

KITT was an 82 1/2 but the body was the was the same til early 93

I have maintained if I ever win the Lottery this is the first thing I will buy.

Wow that brings back good memories. I miss those days having my friends come over and watching Knight Rider and talking about how kick ass it would be to have that car.

Since you have no driver, you need to modify the driver seat to poorly conceal a stunt driver ;)

I couldn't own one, I'd cream my self every time I would sit down and cleaning would get to expensive.

I think I remember you being into cars and knowing repair stuff. My friend is a HUGE Knight Rider fan and is actually on his way to getting the Firebird which we plan to restore and turn into KITT when I move into my house. You're more than welcome to come over and join in.
