Where can I get some? I want to get a curved samurai-type sword for my Cybertron Unicron (who I use as Bludgeon), and a straight ninja-type sword for TFA Prowl. I'd like to also find some battle axes and other melee-type weapons.

I've googled and searched ebay, but (so far) to no avail.

I just thought I'd ask before I spent hours on the interwebs.

Update! I stopped by a Dollar General and bought a ninja action figure for a dollar. He came with a sword, a hook...thing, a sai (I think), a pair of claw thingies, and some throwing stars. The stars were too small. Everything else was fine. I thought about painting the gray parts gold, to match Prowl's gold, but I figured I would just screw it up and make it look like garbage.

The claws fit between Prowl's hands and his arm gauntlets.


I had to trim the handle on the hook thing to fit in in Prowl's hands.

I don't know of suitable source offhand, but have you considered making 'em yourself?

That would be a good idea, except I have all the artistic skill of a monkey with a can of Play-Doh.

 

What about using the melee weapons from some of the Power Rangers or TMNT lines. I think they should be to scale for some of the TF figures. Just a thought.

 

Sigma 6 weapons work in most cases.

 

Try your local Poundland (or whatever the American equivalent cheap tat store is). I've bought some knockoffs of TFs and other toys just for the accessories. My Classics Bumblebee has a ko Prime rifle as a result.

That's some good weapons. You gonna keep looking out for ones suitable for other figs? A nice broadsword would be brilliant for Blitzwing (as an homage to his old electron scimitar)...

 

Autobot X, could you post a picture of that ninja action figure and it's packaging? I'd like to see if I could find one in my area, so I need to know what to look for.

Didn't think of that...they had another ninja toy there, but I didn't think it was as cool. I could try hitting Big Lots or one of those "Everything's a Dollar" stores.

It's cool that a lot of the Animated stuff have open hands so you can use weapons with them. I'd really like to get some more melee weapons after getting Movie Wreckage and ordering Cyb Defense Hot Shot, but it's finding stuff that'll fit in the Classics standard holes.

 

I like the claws and sword. May have to start visiting pound shops more often.

I used to have such Ninja figures, like the one you got the weapons from.
Except for it was a pack containing 4 ninjas, no light up effect trough.
They had lots of funny armor and such
