I got my first mobile around ten years ago. Can't remember what it was but I used it until it literally fell to bits. Now I got some Vodafone thing. I'm not really into phones. My younger sister is though so I got her to pick me one. Calls and texts is all I care about. The camera and internet and mp3 and all that it has will likely never get used. It's what you use to call for help when Big Bubba is looking at you from his bunk and licking his lips.
I call it the "turn that damn thing off and watch your driving you frickin morons"phone I'm getting old
I got my first one at 20... it was this huge Nokia. My pager at the time was about the size of a small tape measure. )
It sucks though because even if you just make the board 18+ only, they'll just lie about their age and join anyway,and continue to make a new thread (with poll) about Devastator's balls every hour on the hour.
I remember when I got my first mobile phone. I don't remember feeling the need to tell the whole world. *shrug*
I was just happy I guess I'm sorry for starting a thread then. I won't be happy on the boards then anyomre. To me this is no more different than someone in the toy thread saying they got a new toy. I don't see what the big deal is here.
My wife just got new phones for the both of us. I hate phones. They ring when you least expect them. I don't need that type of stress in my life. Oh and my first phone was in 97, when I was twenty. It was a thick motorola. I think it weighed as much as a brick. come to think of it, I think it was a brick.
Chill, dude, it's an observation not a criticism. Although, as you don't know what phone you've got, I'm not sure where the discussion can go other than "well done" or "mobile phones suck." I got my first phone when I was 12. Back then, $30 credit could last me a couple of months. Oh, having a life is so expensive.
Let's be honest: there are more entertaining firsts than your first mobile phone. I can't wait for the threads when some of our more junior posters first pop their cherries.
I was going to make some crack about using a prostitute, but who amongst us would spend money on a hooker when they could be buying TFs?
