Earlier today I was setting up a big meiter (sp? lol) saw for our baseboards. It wasn't plugged in or anything, I was just unpacking it. You know how the actual saw part goes up and down to cut, with the big handle? Well, it's locked down in package and you need to pull a pin thing to get it to release. However the pin was being a booger, and I couldn't get it out. So when I leaned in (like the brain trust I am) and pulled hard, it sprung up and knocked me across the room into the cupboard. It was like one second I'm fighting this little yellow nub and the next I'm wondering where the fuck I am and why my brow is bleeding. The weird part was my head didn't hurt until about an hour later. The most pain I got was from jamming my back in the cupboard. Also I couldn't see out of my left eye for bout a second. I was kind of out of it for a while but now I'm all happy again except my head hurts and I have this cut on my left brow. So, I guess if there's a moral to this story it's don't shove your big dumb block into a saw and start pulling shit. And deffinately don't do it in the basement where no one can here your big dumb ass crash into a cupboard. This isn't usually how people get hurt by power tools.
