Because Hasbro is cheap.
That's going to be a tough color to match.
Not always, least they made Red Alert look better ny adding the little extra paint on the shoulders hehehe.
DC i'd suggest going to WM, checking the art's and craft section and checking on Folkart Metallic Aluminum acrylic paint, test it and if its not good enough buy a few other colors and mix until you can get a close enough match.
Folkart Metallic paints mix together pretty easy most of the time.
My question is...How are you so damn lucky!?
well i think if there were no flaws in transformers how are they suposded to get better
I have been lucky lately, I saw Downshift again today (same place where I fould Execellion)! But I left it there so someone else can get it, I got mine a few weeks back .
Lack of paint or no, that is one killer repaint. One of these days I'll get that one. Aw heck, why not just go completist for Cybertron while I'm at it. I love this line so much!
I got one today, haven't opened it yet. But what I find interesting is the 2 tones of red paint used. There's a regular flat red on most of him and a shiny gloss red on the roof and doors.
what color is supposed to go there? I never saw the Jap version. Is it supposed to be that gold color?
Yeah! This is one of the better TF repaints out there. The moment I saw him, I simply grabbed him! Some of the complaints against this guy is the different types of red paint being used but I don't mind.
And like you, I'm really enjoying the Cyberton/Galaxy Force - most of the toys have their robot and alternate modes well done.
Awesome repaint, but yeah they always leave something out that would've obviously improved the fig.
His chest still reminds me of Armada Wheeljacks
Going abit off topic here, I'm pleased that Hasbro did the obvious by giving Hot Shot the "Rodimus Prime/Hot Rod" repaint but what about a "Thundercracker/ Skywarp" repaint on the Starscream mold! They would really make the Cyberton line even more cooler!
I think they did the best they're going to in that respect. They gave us LoC Skywarp, and we already have a Thundercracker. Plus we got LoC Ramjet and Sunstorm, and the voyager two-pack Starscream is pretty much Thrust. So aside from Dirge we got 6 of the 7 seekers in some form for the line, that's I think the best they've done since G1. Well no, Armada had 6 too, but still. It's pretty good.
I know wtaht you mean but it would still be cooler if we got Thundercracker and Skywarp in the GF/Cyberton Starscream mold. That mold is one of the best seeker mold in years. In fact, some would call it the best!
I've got a feeling the Neo-G1 line will have a better Starscream mold. Cyb/GF Screamer is cool because of his WWI-ness.. The Titanium 6" Thundercracker we've seen pulls it off better. I'd rank the Cyb/GF mold at 3rd place at best.
Shucks, I so totally forgot about the Neo G1 line! The Titanium version Thundercracker is nice but I prefer if the same mold for G1 most infamous seekers were used. By the way, what's the top 3 molds?
IMO, top three Seeker molds are as follows:
#1 Robot Masters
#3 Cyb/GF Voyager size
Again, the Neo-G1 could very well take the top spot. I've yet to see it, but hear it's better than the Robot Masters mold. As for the Titanium, I rank it better than the Cyb because both are based on War Within, and the Titanium looks more like the artwork. There were liberties taken on the Cyb/GF mold.
And in case you are wondering, I rank the G1 mold at #4 and Energon at #5. I prefer the realistic alt mode of G1 over the articulated but funny looking E Starscream.
yeah, the RM mold is pretty good and I got high expectations for the Neo G1 mold too.
I reallly can't wait for the Titanium seekers! (as my sig proves) I can't wait for the MP seekers either now *sigh* its going to be one long assed year.. well over a year if you go to next July!!
