get a toy you dont need anymore and start cutting and drilling. yes, the plastic will melt, depending on the setting you have the dremel on, as well as how much pressure you apply. i messed up several things before i got the hang of the dremel. make sure to wear protective goggles.
Thanks for everyones tips and suggestions thus far I appreciate it! Does anyone have any bits in particular that they favor over others for their TF projects?
I love my diamond bit cutter, not the sphere tiped one,the one that looks like a circular saw,it cuts through styrene like butter, does great detail panel lining as well.
theyre all useful for different things. theres a blade bit for cutting, several sanding items, and smaller-pointed items for more detail. thats the point, now you can make items into whatever you want. but remember: youre dremel can only take away from whatever youre using it on. so dont over do it. you sand too far and its a wrap.
Practice on some figs you don't care about first! Learn the feel of the dremel and how you are most comfortable holding it. I learned the hard way. That little sanding drum on the dremel is so freaking awesome. Also pick up some thin-cut disks.
I use that one too,but that's not the one I'm speaking of,when I get my set back from my best friend,I will take a pic of it for ya.
Thanks man, I would appreciate it. Everyone here is helpful. Radicons is one of the best forums on TFW. Question; what size bit would I use to make a standard sized hole for a fist?
