I found the ROTF Deluxe Wave 1 at Wal-Mart tonight. They won't sell them yet.

I found the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe Wave 1 Rev. 2 tonight at Wal-Mart.

In short, they ring up as "Do Not Sell until May 30."

An employee had opened the case (they got 2 in and they were sent out on the stock pallet).

But I did get to look:

2 BumbleBees (seem to be the same - almost - as last movies. Now he has a firing arm cannon). I might pick this up later.

2 SideSwipes - silver concept Corvette is SWEET! I wanted this figure badly.

2 SideWays - a silver Decepticon sports car (not sure of the make and model) but it looked nice - uh, that is the car mode. Decepticons are mean, of course.

1 Rampage - what was formerly a tiger beast in the Predacon set, is now a Constructicon bulldozer. This is a nice figure and though he'd be more accurately represented by a Voyager class figure for scale purposes next to Deluxe Autobot cars, I just had to buy him (if I could, that is). The headsculpt on Rampage is cool, too. This is a nice figure. He does not combine with other Constructicons to form Devastator. :(  I'm sure Hasbro would offer that only after they made sure we bought their first Constructicon products.

1 fighter jet - an Autobot. I don't remember his name and didn't care either. I think it's a repaint of what was previously released as a Decepticon figure. He's not in the movie as far as I know. Jetfire (a Leader Class toy) will represent the Autobots in the air. But he is a nice sculpt and looks to have a cool transformation, but I'm really in the market for a Leader Class Starscream when they make one.

I think that was all that was in the case assortment.

Anyway, I really wanted SideSwipe, Sideways, and Rampage.

I'm sure that someone will get an employee to ring them up as Universe Deluxe figures or something, and they'll get on eBay in the next night or two. But the actual figures are registering do-not-sell in Wal-Mart's computers. Who cares? I won't buy new items from an eBay seller, but I would've immediately opened those figures if I'd been able to get Wal-Mart to let them come home with me.

I might have opened Rampage first - maybe. This is one I could also keep packaged while I'm holding on to hope for a Voyager class figure.

This should be in the news section, I don't think they've been spotted yet although I'm not really following the new movie line.

Grats on the find though but bummer on not being able to purchase them.

    ...I'd have cried.

Oh, and there's a 99% chance we won't see a Leader Class Starscream.
Though I'd dearly love a Voyager Bonecrusher. I think we've earned it.

That's just plain evil of them! To display there wares and then deny you them like that. It's evil!

I've decided to not go near a toy store until I am sure that they have been released. Firstly, this will mean that I actually have money to spend on the RotF toys rather than on other random things that I want (such as the three ships from the new Star Trek movie and a 12-inch Nero figure). Secondly, they will sell them to me without hassle.

My preview Soundwave is on pre-order with Kapow and I cannot wait for that. Knoweldge that toy stores have these toys but won't sell them is even more maddening!

    Oh, those fucking bastards!

Though the previews should be out on the 15th, so you'll have Soundwave to tide you over for the other 15 days.

Excellent, nice to hear these are starting to show up. Hopefully, with Deluxes being put out early but unable to be sold at so many places, that Hasbro will move up the street date on that size class, like they did with the last movie.

Kind of odd that we haven't seen more sightings of the preview wave yet, though.

Any idea what Wal-Mart would have charged for them if they would have sold them?

    I am sure they are...ba$tard$.

I just want the three Leaders, the Deluxe Ravage, and I'm through with the ROTF line.

Then, I can save some cash until the next Masterpiece or Universe returns, whichever comes first. Well, I could also save up for a minty Star Saber or Overlord...

    Damnit...I'm such a whore.

I know this may sounds utterly dumb (I didn't get much sleep last night so forgive me, my mind hasn't got the caffeine yet) But write a complaint to Wal Marts head office. As it is the stores fault for putting merchandise to the floor that they are not allowed to sell. Its really denying a sale to a potential customer. You never know what might happen. You could land a gift card from them.

Great finds. This time there should be plenty of them available in stores.
