so thanks to sydneyy (my other hemisphere connection) I finally got the last bw neo figures I was looking for: break and dead end, which also brought my collection count up to a milestone I never thought I'd hit-700! when I first dragged my box of tfs out of the attic back in '95, I had about 65 from when I was a kid, none of which were in any condition necessary to replace. I remember hitting 300, 400, and last winter I hit 600. 700 always seemed like such a ridiculous number that I never though I'd have that much, but here I am. crazy, almost scary. I keep telling myself that I'm gonna slow down, and I think that with takara/tomy taking a back seat in production, hopefully that will actually happen now.

as for getting this set, sydneyy found the vs set for me, as I was trying to get all of the neo figures that had molds that were never released in the US. there's just something quaint/quirky/odd about the bw neo aesthetic that just grows on ya, so I figured since it was break that was number 700, I'd also turn this into a neo appreciation thread. so here's my neo collection, not including big convoy. I think these guys are the only ones unique to neo and not released in any other line. am I missing any?

Ah. BW NEO is the best! Such a wide variety of different and unique beast modes, including both 'new' and 'old' molds. Mach Kick and Break are definitely my favourites, especially out of the 'new' molds, but some of the repaints look very nice. Crazybolt is probably my favourite of the repaints... the mold is one of the earliest BW figures, but damn the colours look outstanding!

As far as which NEO exclusive molds you're missing... I don't think Sharp Edge or Killpunch have ever seen another release. Granted, they're both just remolds so maybe that's why you didn't think of them.

Congrats on 700. And thanks for reminding me that I still need a lot of BWN figs.

Congrats on reaching 700. I don't count for the very reason that having an exact known number of toys three years away from being 30 might actually make me slow down lol.

Those are some nice transformers though.

I didn't bother with most of the Neo 0r II figures but I do have a handful or more of each. Break is the textbook definition of shellformer to me. Stampy's neat but the arm blades are a tad big to me. I wish they had a wider range of movement either forward or back. Heinrad, I've always wanted. There's very little I don't care for with that one. I always forget which leaders went with either series. Regardless, I've got them too. Yup, pretty cool figures.

He's a pretty hard one to get. I got lucky and snagged a MIB Survive v. Killerpunch for a really nice price from a poster on the AllSpark... if not for that luck I probably wouldn't have him either. He's pretty hard to find, and usually pretty expensive. Not as hard to get as Break, though, it seems...

wow, that's really funny, but nope! he hasn't had batteries in him for months. ticks really loud. I actually have two because this one in pics, while misb when I got it, didn't come with a battery cover. so I had to get another one which is still sealed.
