I turned 30 today. Usually birthdays are good, but I've not been liking this one so much. I feel old now that I'm no longer in my 20s. Being still single doesn't help much. At least I do have a serious girlfriend, so that helps that part some.

Anybody else feel old when they hit 30?

I turned 30 earlier in the year and to tell you the truth, it wasn't that different. The only thing is, since I'm not in my 20's anymore, I think its more important to take better of care of yourself by eating right and exercising and all that.

    Happy Birthday

When I hit 20 I thought "damn, in 10 years I'll be 30" but really, I'm not all too worried about getting to that age. I don't feel like it's old at all.

The only thing I'm worried about is not accomplishing everything I had hoped to by that age, career, marriage, all that crap. I'm 22 now and nowhere near being close, but I'm not giving up yet.

I'm never going to turn 30.

Come next February, I'll be 29.1.

we'll both be 35 in December of 2012 and, sadly, neither of us will see 36. It was a good run, though.

The professor for my Developmental Psychology class read us a survey of a few thousand people asking them what age they would prefer to be. People mostly said early 30s up until about 60 or so, and then you're mostly happy with your age, maybe opting to be a few years younger for health reasons according to the survey. He read it out loud just as an aside, so I have don't have any links or the name of the group that did the study.

It's the latest doomsday fad. It's the end of the Mayan calender and I think there's a 1 in some high number odds of a meteor hitting the earth.

Really though, there will be a rare celestial alignment that is only rare based on human's perception of time and in reality has happened countless times before and *GASP* the earth, sun, and rest of the universe are still present and accounted for

The Mayans don't say the earth, moon, and sun won't still be here...but humans, possibly not. ;)

Well either way it's all just bs. If the Mayan were powerful enough to predict the end of humanity then why weren't they able to last long enough to see it. That and the simple fact that every single doomsday prophecy has one thing in common: they were all wrong.
