If this is pre-Earth, isn't he a Decepticon? but from the toyfair info he's an Autobot.
At the moment, WfC isn't strictly connected to any one specific continuity. There have been some slight hints that it's connected to the new show, but for all we know it has it's own continuity to itself.
A good example of this is Trypticon. From what I understand, in G1 he wasn't built till after they came to Earth. Yet he's one of the big boss battles in the game. Meaning the game isn't meant to be a direct sequel to G1.
WFC is not necessarily G1. However, he might have been a Decepticon earlier in the game and then defected.
If you're going by G1 alone then he would have just been a Cybertronian at this point.
He and Starscream got separated before the war and Starscream convinced him to join the Decepticons after they thawed him out.
Duh. Just because it's pre-Earth doesn't actually mean it's G1.
So where are you getting "He's a Decepticon in this time frame" from?
Maybe not in this continuity.
This makes no sense to me please explain what you mean a little better?
In Dreamwave community he was also an Autobot pre-Earth.
Him and starscream where scientists before the great war started. Making him a non combatant. He then crashed on earth before the war and before earth contact was made.
...In the G1 toon.
The movie, I'm assuming.
I think at this point, it's not too much to realize that WFC in fact does not tie into any previous fiction. It may homage a lot of it. But it stands as it's own begining for a new TF universe.
Also remember this game takes ques from "The War Within" storyline. In that story Trypticon was already an active Decepticon and Jetfire an Autobot.
Well there are a few different G1 Continuities, so this doesn't exactly mean he's a Decepticon, because for all we know this is in a completely different continuity.
If the most likely answer was obvious to you, why did you ask the question?
Am i missing something?
Jetfire is in WFC?
I suppose that all depends on which story you follow (cartoon/comic).
If the Decepticons were 100% soldiers as we've been lead to believe, isn't it possible that Starscream were Autobots or something else entirely
The way I see it, all Cybertronians were one long ago. After they drove the Quintessons off their world lines were drawn and members from both camps went one way or another.
We still don't know which story the game's following, though it is most likely a combination of everything, which I wouldn't mind, and though it may sound a bit silly, Jetfire's presence could be similar to the Aerialbots in War Dawn. Just a thought.
WFC isn't tied to any continuity as of now.
