Who the hell watches glee? My dad tries to say it's the most popular thing in the world and I'm the only one who doesn't love it

My buddy's wife loves it. I've never seen it; don't plan to.

Doesn't pique my interest enough for me to actually watch a full episode. I won't deny that there's a lot of talent on the show, however.

There's no shame in liking Glee. It's a well done primetime drama-comedy that features pretty good musical numbers. Beats watching most of the reality TV on these days.

When I saw the initial promotion for Glee back before it first started (last year?), I honestly expected it to get cancelled very quickly, leaving space for yet another damn Gordon Ramsey show, or something. Just based on the premise, the fact that it's caught on and survived this long really surprises me.

That said, I can't really critique it one way or the other, since I've never watched an episode (can't stand musicals). Just funny sometimes what turns out to be popular and what doesn't survive more than a couple of weeks.

1/3 songs are actually really good. Most of the cast have amazing voices.

Also, Jane Lynch as Sue Sylvester is one of the funniest characters on TV right now.

All the high school drama kind of brings the whole thing down for me though. All the relationship arcs have the depth you'd find on something you'd see on Family Chanel.

You should give it a chance. Its not actually a musical. The music is either a dream or a performance. I hate musicals too. But this is different. Its not like everyone suddenly knows all the words and starts dancing.

Musicals = fail. I even mute it when they do a number on the Simpsons.

    I love Glee.

The girls are hot, Sue is hilarious and the music is decent. I think the biggest problem with Glee is that it has become too popular...

    aww, Fosterlager, i am disappointed.
i am not a fan of Glee, but i think there is a such thing as a good musical.
Grease, Little Shop of Horrors, are a couple.

still, if musicals are fail, then you listen only to instrumental songs?

    lol.

can't stand the promos and really HATE the propaganda pieces they play on Fox using Glee. I have no interest in it. I too thought based on premise and promos that this would have been canceled after 1/2 a season or so.

THIS gets ratings and Chuck doesn't?

From what I've seen it's a great show; but personally it does nothing for me and doesn't hold my interest.
