That's really nice! Where did you get the hook that you're using for your Alt. Hoist? It looks really familiar...

It's from an energon Landmine. Many have used it for similar customs. It's too bad. I really liked my Landmine.

Man, I never realized how well a modified Jazz head looked as Inferno/Grapple. That'll be something to remember.

Back on topic. I like it, glad to see you didn't just go for the Reprolabel set*. Very clean looking too.

*Not that there's anything wrong with them.

Did you remove the little black peg in there?

Well, yes I removed it, but that's not why it's so tight.

HOW TO: Sorry for no pics. If you want to do it, just undo the two screws on the waist, and you'll see that each of the two pieces has two semi-circular holes (one on top, one on bottom). Increase the diameter half a millimeter or whatever works. Start small and keep testing. Very easy once you figure out what was going on.

WHY WAS IT TIGHT TO START WITH?: The midsection is comprised of two sections that I'll call the waist, and pelvis. The pelvis fits over the bottom of the "robots spine" and has a barrel on the top. The waist then fits over this barrell. Here's the thing though...the tolerances are a little screwy. The pelvis barrel is actually forced open a little bit as you rotate it. This forced opening makes the pelvis barrel bigger while inside the waist...making the fit SO tight you can't rotate further.

Basically I just took the waist apart (two pieces), and widened the C-shapes that clamp around the pelvis. This gives enough slack so the barrel from the pelvis isn't so clamped down on.

I find the midsection is so tight, that the little black tab is not needed...mod or no mod.
