Man I wish Arnold would have made this movie. It does look good though. The run down "empty" NYC looks amazing.

I am soooo glad Ahnold didn't do this film. Not that Price and Heston are peerless masters of the craft, but this isn't a role for a superhero. I was hesitant with Will Smith, that it might be too "hip" or jokey, but it languished long enough for Will to mature a bit, and after viewing this trailer think he might just work well.

That's the thing I'm curious about. Has he reached a level of acting maturity where he can be more than just the awesome, hip dude? See, I think so - and I thought "Pursuit of Happyness" was all right.

    I dunno, we'll see.

I cannot WAIT for this film. Will Smith could work--his recent stuff has left me with enough faith to not dismiss him out of hand. But it could go south also.

And then I want them to make Legend, by David Gemmell. And then Gladiator, by Phillip Wylie.

Based on the classic Richard Mattheson story "I Am Legend",it was filmed twice before. The first was in the mid-60s with Vincent Price as "The Last Man on Earth", and the second in the 70s with Charleton Heston as "The Omega Man."

It's the story of the last survivor of a plague that has turned what is left of humanity into vampires.
