But backed off. He was going for $40 bucks at the Target in Brooklyn. I dont know, form a distance he looks pretty cool but so much of his mold looks like it had begun to melt away. It was their last one and the kids who had looked it before I did must have tried to break it open because the box was in pretty bad shape. Haha, crazy kids.

He's really tempting me, but I cant justify the cost. That and I'd feel compelled to get a counterpart and get Megs which I just dont like at all.

He is so beyond worth it. Easily the single best toy in the line, and probably (IMO) the best Prime we've had.

We charge $70.00 for it here in Canada, so don't worry, $40.00 is a GREAT price for that Prime. I thought $50.00 for it was a steal

Its is a steal. Compared to the UK price. I would love to get Prime at 40 US Dollars.

Agreed, leader Prime is EASILY the best mold of the line thus far. Absolutely fantastic toy. And yeah, $40 is a STEAL.

To all those who haven't bought him because of his meager $40 pricetag... I just have one thing to say. Stop being such a cheapass and buy it! You'll be glad you did, it's worth every penny and more.

I never thought any Prime could be better than MP Prime. This is.

It's the best Prime ever made.

Buy it buy it buy it!

Nah, MP Prime is still "King of Optimus", especially the TakaraTomy one...one can't compare Movie Leader Class Prime with him. But best ever Optimus Prime as in for retail or main-line? Yup, probably! :D

Dude, I didn't say he was "perfect" but the general opinion is that he's the better Optimus - there was a thread quite some time back. And his alt. mode doesn't look like an ass that's - IMO. ;)

That may have been the general opinion a few months ago, but general opinion NOW is that movie leader prime is better.

Dude, actually that took place less that a month ago but hey, why don't you post a poll? Just
remember its Takara's MP Optimus not the Hasbro MP Optimus - it doesn't matter if you're eventually proven right but hey, at least your claim will be substantiated. ;)

Get him, but look for one in a good box. dont get one that has the box all messed up. Im not even a misb collector, but i like to have the box with minimal damage.

He's deffinatly well worth it, but if he's half melted? If I ever saw any TF that was melted to any extent I would buy it.
