No he hasn't and I've never been a fan of him and had to bite my words on bruckheimer, I'm a sucker for pirates. Cameron still makes some awful movies.

The Britney, Justin and Whoever else makes pretty songs of movies.

I did like the first tf, rotf for the fights and I am sure I'll like DOTM but this is after completely vacating my mind of any common sense and story. I just like seeing cool big robots

Sometimes it's the scripts and the actors that don't give us what we want. A director tries to direct the film as written and with actors that the studios want to use to bring in the big bucks..and we've all seen those movies where the actor(s) chosen couldn't save the film... Sometimes--because of poor writing and acting, a movie just sucks.

I love seeing cool big robots too..and with ILM and Bay's CGI company Digital Domain, they have given us the most realistic bots on screen EVAR. I will always appreciate the guy for that if nothing else..but then again, I'm not a hater.  

 

Bay is more suited for films with rough action in them. No way is he going to capture the grace of the waterbenders or other smooth movements of the other benders. Well, maybe the explosions that come from the Fire Nation army, lol.

 

I'd love Bay to helm a western Godzilla movie.

Massive monsters, huge armies. Make it a big, military vs monsters vs other monsters movie.

 

And at the end, put Optimus Prime against Godzilla. SHEER AWESOMENESS.

Why would anyone think that's a good idea? You'd end up with almost exactly the same crap as Shyamalan served, only prettier and with more explosions. Don't you think Avatar deserves something a bit better?
